My fiance's visa has been issued and is ready for pick-up at the embassy! He's going first thing in the morning. He gets here in 2 1/2 weeks...I have no idea how to focus or contain my excitement! I can't believe this process is finally coming to an end and we will be married soon. :)

CONGRATS! You've had to suffer way longer than most. So glad that process is almost over for you!

This is the page where you can check. Just put your field office in. https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do

or you can check VJ's processing times here: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/aosstats.php

Thank you, Becca!

Philadelphia office processing times are far away desirable ((((

Currently they are reviewing cases as of January'17.

Hi! First of all, my congratulations! You look so happy on your wedding photo:wub:

As for the vaccination info, I decided to start without it. The instruction says that you don't have to submit that form with your AOS application, you can do it later, before or even at your interview. I hope to finally send everything this week.

Thank you so much, Olechka!

How are you doing? Did you receive NOA1?

Yesterday we had a meeting with our attorney on the next steps with AOS process and she confirmed that I do not need to complete vaccination and submit form with AOS application. So I'll proceed with this later and either send it to them separately (by request) or bring it with me at interview.

You fill out the form again that you filled out the first time with your new name and your old name and have your marriage certificate least I believe that is how it works. LOL I plan on going in next week to change mine.

So we've applied me on SS card last name change.

Basically they did what you wrote. I've filled in the application at home and put my new name + wrote the maiden as I used it before and the application required that info; we came to SS office, gave them all docs (new application, passport, marriage license, I-94 and previous SS card). So I'm awaiting my new SS card and it will be my first document with my husbands name :)

Bthw, they didn't take my current SS card, it remained with me.

And as I understand the phrase that this SSN is not valid without DHS authorization will remain on my new card.

I couldn't get my new SS card because its too close to my 1-94 expiring. Shrugs so I will have to wait til I get the EAD to do it. My driver's license is also in my maiden name because they go by the SS card even if I have a marriage license sigh. This whole thing is so bleeped up. lol Sorry today is a bad day. All I want to do is cry. My poor husband is home sick for the second day in a row and I was trying to not worry him and cry quietly in the living room but he heard me even with only one ear that works. I told him nothing was wrong just a bad day and told him to go back to bed. I am starting to question why I didn't look for a second job in Canada and have him come there. I don't mind it here and maybe I will be better once I can work and do more. I am volunteering once a week at the library beside me. I go in mondays from 9-12 and help with scanning and then I have lunch and then do sorting from 1-4. I really really enjoy it and the ladies there are all wonderful and so much fun. Ultimately I want to get a job at the library when I get my EAD.

Wow they gave you a deadline. :o All my husband had to do was take the marriage license and my ssn to his work for his health insurance. His all is through his work and Soon as they had it I was on his plan starting December 1st.

Sure hope that works for you. Let us know how it goes. Now that I have the AOS NOA1 I can go get my Colorado License as I need it to show that I do intend to be a Colorado resident. So after my interview for the volunteer job on Tuesday morning I will head to the DMV woohoo and if I get out in record time I will head to the SSA to change my name. LOL Oh and getting the NOA1s in the mail addressed to me in my married name was awesome. Felt so good.

With insurance we had the same story as you, Becca, though we had a timeline to that within 30 days after marriage.

But with driving license or we even tried to apply on state ID, news are not so pleasant. I won't be able even to apply on and receive any of these two docs until I'll get work authorization. According to PA law I need to have a document that allows me to legally stay in US for 1 year, and work authorization is the first one that I'll receive. Hilarious, ha?!

Like I said this process is bleep and so different for things by state even the SSA office even though its federal. :( Least with the driver's license I got a 3 year temp one not sure how or why but I will take it.

I'm fine, but no NOA1 yet:( Hopefully soon, I see that for many people it takes more than 10 days.

hello!!

where is everybody on this thread? so quiet...

I went today to SSA ( I couldn't choose a better day to do this ) to ask for a replacement for the card ,since I ve got the EAD.

Of course , they couldn't help because of the government shutdown!! the office was open and so was saying on the internet , that SSA operates as normal. The lady at the counter said she cannot do anything , to come back when the US will have an approved budget! :D
