Haha! I got a hairdryer from Amazon on our visit last month.

I have the iron on the list for when I move in. Could live without it the last couple visits, but will need one in the future! No clue how he fixes his dress shirts. He just doesn't iron them he says, haha!

We bought a kettle too, cause I like me my teas :)

A kettle was one of the presents Matt bought me when I visited him in February. No way on earth I was ever going to boil water on a stove haha

@Kateryna_I is like that, also.  There is some kind of a process the NVC does and maybe it is a name verification / similar name kind of thing?????    Wow, this sucks

Yep, we have the same situation.

Still at NVC since August 25th.

Nothing changed, no useful info achieved.

Upset and tired of continuing nonsense waiting.

Hello Marchers,

Just posting a lil update: we got instructions from the US Embassy in Sweden and the tracker is in the much sought after, "Ready" mode  !!  Just yesterday I called and they said it was in "Administrative Processing" so this was super fast and unexpected.  Not sure when it had time to leave the NVC, even!

We were projecting that best case scenario, we'd maybe get the instructions Friday, so needless to say this is a lovely surprise!

Fiance has scheduled a doctor appointment and is trying to get his military records and birth certificate in English (anyone have experience with this?).  Hopefully it's not too hard or time-consuming.  We're submitting the DS-160 this weekend and scheduling the interview!  I heard that for Sweden they only do K-1s on Thursdays, so it might be tough to get one soon.

Anyway, super excited about this!  This is an immigration pace I can get behind hehe, hurray for State Department!

Hope y'all are doing great!

If anyone is still waiting on your NOA2, take heart in knowing that once you get your approval, things will go really fast apparently. (F)

Congratulations!

Happy and bright news of the day! ;)

Wish you to have the soonest interview day available and visa approval! :)

Hellooooooooooo to my dear March Whiners - from Virginia! :)

So now I finally came back and found our thread closed! We made the server kneel - heck yeah, that rocks! :)

Sooooo I noticed I got searched - here I am! :)

For the "formal" part: We'll go for my SSN tomorrow, he added me to his cell phone plan today, so I got my US simcard. His leave got confirmed for the last week of October/first week of November, so we will probably head out to his family in Utah in the middle of that time and make a road trip to Vegas to get married! :)

And last but not least:
Not a crazy POE pic, but a selfie right after we hugged hello! I'll keep this pic forever, because it's not only a selfie - it's the arrival after the biggest journey of my life so far! <3

To all on here that still know me, to those who don't: Good luck for all of you, congratulations to all approvals and progresses! It's so great to have the back of this community - and of course especially the Anonymous March Whiners, which I'm a proud part of! :)

Such a beautiful and happy couple! You look fantastic! :jest:

Have a happy ever after and a blessed life together!

Great to read you again, Olya! :)
I hope you're doing fine! Getting ready already?

Yeah, it was insane... on my last day I walked into work and started crying already because some of my workers stood there waiting with gifts and stuff. The goodbye was bad! I've had to hug goodbye sooo many people!
And when I left for Hamburg at 4:30 in the morning one of my closest friends drove me to the train station, and all of a sudden 2 other friends came on the parking, even had their baby with them... more crying!
I'm glad the goodbyes are over for now!

I've started getting ready - and having some little mishaps that make me wish I could move sooner:) On the other hand, I also started having thoughts like "Where am I going? I should have persuaded Eric to move here"

I don't use a hair dryer cause it frizzes my naturally curly hair. As for the iron I don't use one LOL but my man does he irons his dress shirts and pants. I joked he is more woman than me and he laughed. Now he did not have a kettle and if he wanted hot water for hot chocolate he boiled it in a pot. :o Thankfully I have a great cordless kettle from when I lived alone last and its coming with me. I adore my tea and must have a kettle.

Awwww your talk of goodbyes and your so sweet picture made me tear up. Goodbyes are going to be so hard here too. My niece at family lunch yesterday already was crying and said Auntie I think you and Chris should live in Canada. I said hey sweetie I am not leaving til the end of October. She said I know but your gone the first two weeks to Montreal and I won't see you at all then. I said yes but you are taking care of my kitty Pixie. She smiled and said oh yes and I will make sure she gets food and water everyday but Mum gets to clean the litter box. lol

My brother is coming this weekend for a visit. He isn't sure he will see me again before I leave at the end of October so he wanted to make sure to come. That and he is lonely right now. His wife is in the Philippines visiting her family and won't be back until Oct 9th. Although Marion did tell me that she would try to come see me before I left. Both her and David think my fiance Chris is wonderful. They also would love it if we lived in Canada. Truth is we thought about it but I couldn't sponsor him just yet due to my only part-time job while great paying it wasn't enough and my job skills are greater than Chris so I know I can find a job in the States easier than he would up here. However we probably will move back to Canada in about 10-15 years when Chris finally retires or sooner depending on circumstances.

Yesterday I got all my stuff together for the medical and interview into an accordian file folder. :) I am all ready for my medical on the 3rd of October and my interview on the 11th of October. Kinda scared too LOL. Mum and I have a 9:50am flight out of Winnipeg this Monday. It is nearly a 3 hour drive to Winnipeg from where we are sooo we have to get up at like 4am to leave at 5:30am. My Mum has been practicing going to bed early every night with no success. HAHA I don't know why its me that has to drive because my Mum doesn't drive in the dark and she doesn't like driving in the city.

These posts make me smile @Estibaliz , @pajobraand @Hadassah123 because I can resonate so well

- Iron and hair dryer are exactly what I bought on my last visit to my F. - Venus v Mars thing!

- And the kettle - he’s since got one of them because he now understands a ‘proper brew’ (cup of tea) is brewed at a higher temperature than what comes out of his instant hot water tap - British thing!

I feel you!
I even had plenty of people who I couldn't meet anymore because I ran out of time in the end.

Aww I'm so happy for you two!!  Thank you for being one of the first friendly faces on the thread!  I was really stressin about that NOA2 at the time and you squashed a lot of the bad feelings with your kindness.

Wishing you all the best!
