Oh hun I am sooo sorry to hear this. HUGS We here will be with you when you need someone to vent to.

Thanks! I'm actually surprisingly calm and a bit relieved in a sense. Now at least I know what we are dealing with and have a better idea of when he will get here. Also, this was the first time he let this process get him upset and disappointed. So I have no choice but to stay strong since he has been my rock through this whole process. I know we'll get through it and it will all be worth it once we are finally living together in the same place.

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered "Man.... Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."

- The Dalai Lama

Is it just my case or is NVC taking forever with issuing case numbers. It has been almost 4 weeks now and nothing. Others have flown through this part of the process and I was praying this would be the case for me considering how impossibly long they took to issue the NOA2. Sigh...

My case took 6 weeks before a case number was issued. It takes up to 6 weeks. So keep calling

Welp, sadly my worries and fears were correct. His chest x-ray didn't come back 100% clean and they scheduled him for sputum testing. It will take 8 weeks for the results to come back. My heart is broken. :( I'm staying strong for him because I feel so bad that he has to go through all of this. I will postpone the wedding and most importantly, figure out a way to cope with the fact that it's going to be at least another three months until I get to see him.

Oh that's so disappointing:( I do hope the test results turn out to be ok. Wish you both lots of patience, the delay is disheartening but you will be together relatively soon anyway!

For those stuck waiting at some point in the process, just remember, you could be me and starting all over with the *thick Jersey accent* "Howya doin?" part. :D Still here cheering from the sidelines!

Package 3&4 is a checklist that the embassy will give to ur fiance. It contains information that will get him ready for the interview. Ex: ( form 130, police report, medical etc...)
