I forgot to ask you , what documents did you need for the drivers license. here in NY, they want a proof of residence, which I don't have at the moment ; so I am using the one from my country and the international drivers license .

Just I-94 and social sec card :)

But my Dl is valid only until 23 Nov 2017 when the I-94 expires

Did writing test, vision test & driving

Hi ,

I am just waiting for the IRS tax transcripts from my husband for the 2016; we ordered it by phone and it should arrive via mail these days. Hopefully by the end of this week I can mail everything.

As far as I read on this forum , we don't need the I-693 if the medical exam in our country is still valid-one year . mine as well has been done in September 2017. So just the page with the vaccination that we received , the DS-3025.

About proof of relationship, oh lord , I had enough so far for the K1 ,but ya some people have included pictures from their wedding , more detailed proofs like those you mentioned are mostly given for the GC  interview , later on.

So , I have the forms and supporting documents for each plus the i-94, certified copy of marriage certificate( we paid 10$ and they gave it to us from the city hall), my certified translated birth certificate since is not in english  ..

have to add as well the 1225$ cheque!!

I think I ve mentioned the things that seemed the most important to me besides the basics supportive papers.

Sure the  tax transcript for 3 years already received by mail, affidavit of support , marriage certificate ...all ready :)

But my concern was I-963 great that we do not need it.

Concerning  the check , we need two, for me and my son that just turned 14 years, so 1225$ for him as well

Yaaaaay! So happy for you! Such moments are unforgettable!

My POE will be in Newark as well. Hope they'll treat me same way ;)

Luck of the draw, I think, but JFK is getting a bad reputation for being jerks to K1's.  Newark is just across the river and they were so professional.  I can't wait for your POE, you have waited so patiently thru so many delays........

Woohoo Welcome to the USA Ann!!!!

Well Chris and I made it back after fighting traffic on the I25 as there was an accident so we were pretty backed up. We finally got all my stuff inside. My kitty is bravely exploring her new home and Chris is off getting us pizza for supper because neither of us feels like cooking. lol I would do a picture but it doesn't allow me to add pictures anymore. Shrugs. I am too bothered to figure it out.

And WELCOME BACK!!!  How's ur mom holding up?  I bet she's so happy but misses you terribly :)

Great to hear that everything went well in NJ and you two are finally together after such a long and winding road. I send my best wishes and prayers to your happy family!

Thanx Nic   Appreciated :)  Best of luck to you.  If you ever get into this process again, let me know, I wanna cheer for you

Thank you! I only noticed this sign after posting the picture, but it was so true:D

It's great that Ann's POE was so nice, at JFK they are not that friendly.

LOL   It still makes me laugh when I see that sign in the picture.  I hope you are all settled and rested.  So much to do, like getting the kids into school, and unpacking and trying to get used to the new time zone lol.  Best of luck to you and your family.  Enjoy Ohio, it's a great place to live.

Found the I-94 bright and early this morning.  Easily accessed and printed for our trip to SSA.  Phew, this is getting easier and easier :D

oh :( too sad.  You and Chris will have to Skype with her for dinner.

haha house noises.  It's eerie how many noises in a house are unexplained lol.  Probably a little concerning for her to hear noises.  I read that in your post that you paid for the I-94.  Those border guys are so remote there in North Dakota that they haven't heard of the internet yet?  I wonder if your entry is online also???

Almost brings happy tears to my eyes reading all of the POE posts on here!!! I'm so happy for everyone. The only thing that gets me through each day is imagining the moment I see him walk up to me at the airport after all of this waiting and being apart. We were FINALLY able to schedule his embassy interview for Nov. 14th. So god willing, as long as everything goes fine at his Medical this Thursday, then we should have his visa approved in just a couple of weeks.

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered "Man.... Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."

Hello all! Sorry to barge in your thread but my thread closed and nobody started a part #2. I'm a feb filer and my fiancées interview is on Wednesday! And I have a question about the affidavit. Did you all file the I 134 and if so, can you use your tax returns instead of your transcripts? Or what else can i used as evidence? I have an employment letter and annuity settlement as evidence. I also have my tax returns 3 years back and my w2's. Is that enough? Any information will certainly help me!!!! I'm very very nervous I did not filled it out correctly.

p.s. We are in a ciudad Juarez, a México!

Well they had to call head office to find out how to even process the k-1. Seems lots of us crossing the border by land pay the 6 dollar fee. I will check my online one in a couple of days to see if its there

They asked for the taxes for last year and my fiance's w2s and then she said if I had anything else she would gladly take it so I gave her pay stubs for the last three of my fiance's pay periods and also handed over a letter from his employer stating how long he has worked for them and how much his salary is a year.

Visa (and passport) was in today's mail!

Unfortunately we found out while Delta has a generous in cabin pets policy, guinea pigs are not on it. So it's basically certain now they have to go in the hold -- now we're working on them as being checked baggage rather than cargo, since the last time we checked on this cargo wasn't going to happen to my city using any airline with a direct (or no plane change) flight.

POE in about two weeks!

Like I said, airlines don't let rodents in the cabin (anymore). Since Delta is my favorite airline I had asked them first.
Hopefully you're lucky with them as cargo, if not... try a pet freight!
Good luck for the little guys! I just realized I'm missing my both!
