I can't tell you how happy I was to see this post!  A dream come true - something worked so hard for and sacrifices made just to get to this moment.  Your dress is AMAZING!   Have a great trip back home today, enjoy every moment from here on, and when you eventually one day come to So Florida, be sure to say HI and Let's All Meet for BEERS.  :D

The hardest part of any move is saying goodbye to those we won't be seeing on a daily basis anymore.  Not only the parents but also the other close relatives who have celebrated the holidays and birthdays with us for the last 2 to 3 decades.  Have a simple POE and I wish you the best of luck in the future with your new life.  I think you are just hours away from Chicago now :)

So glad to read this post, You are well on the way now.  It was also good to read you are happy.  Isn't it wonderful to be with your love and family at the same time?  Just a great drive to Colo Spgs and you are in your new home.  It has been a lot of fun hanging with you over this past summer and reading your posts has been an encouragement to many.  Have a great life together, and I pray you find your new neighborhood as friendly as your hometown.  Congratulations!

I'll have to write a review for Newark POE here in VJ because the officers there made my fiance feel like a VIP the whole experience from start to finish.  They directed her to the first line and welcomed her to the USA, kidded around with her, asked when she was getting married then retorted with a big cheesy smile 'How will I know if you actually get married?'  Congratulated her for arriving safely, asked her where she was going to live in the US and said 'Oh!  You are going to love it there!'.  Escorted her to the secondary room, took her envelope to the desk for her and offered her a seat in the waiting area.  In 2 to 3 minutes she heard 'chunk, chunk' stamps and her name called and they handed her passport and again congratulated her and pointed the way out to the terminal for the connecting flight.  Lickity split and all the smiles and congratulations and friendly treatment on top.  I am so thankful for the courtesy of the CBP officers and staff for taking such good care of my Fiancee :D  To make it all the better........ They didn't scribble ANYTHING or stamp on the K1 visa!  It is still in new condition.  They stamped on the next page and initialed.  We worked and sacrificed like nothing else in our lives to get this to come to pass.  All the blood, sweat, tears, hours of working in the tropical heat doing construction jobs on days I wasn't working at the hospital, all of this over many many months, came down to a little sticker in a passport that means the world to the 2 of us.

Today we went to church together, this time on THIS side of the world.  Yeah, this is what it all was for, and so worth it......   Welcome to Miami, ANN!

Woohoo Welcome to the USA Ann!!!!

Well Chris and I made it back after fighting traffic on the I25 as there was an accident so we were pretty backed up. We finally got all my stuff inside. My kitty is bravely exploring her new home and Chris is off getting us pizza for supper because neither of us feels like cooking. lol I would do a picture but it doesn't allow me to add pictures anymore. Shrugs. I am too bothered to figure it out.

 I'm so glad you made it! Ann was across the river from you doing POE in Newark.  You look so tired here but I can see the contentment in your eyes.  What I can't stop laughing about is the sign over your heads that says NEED HELP

Have a happy reunion and best of luck to you both

Thank you! I only noticed this sign after posting the picture, but it was so true:D

It's great that Ann's POE was so nice, at JFK they are not that friendly.

Hello! How’s everyone! Two more weeks and I’ll be flying to the moon. JK, to boston and marry the luvv of my life.

Anyway, my flight would be Singapore - Mumbai - London - Boston

I have a question for frequent flyer in Heathrow.

Do I need a transit visa? Because I’ll be transferring from terminal 4 to terminal 3.

How do I get an oyster card for the free shuttle? Do they have single trip?

My layover would be 2hr20mins. Will that be enough :(

Hoping someone could answer!

Hi :)

I am working  on it now, trying to find out weather i need to fill I-693 or not, as my medical is done midd august 2017. I called some of the approved docs but they want to do medical exam again and want to charge the full price, even just this paperwork needs to be done for  vaccination section om I-693.

I gathered some documents proving we are in bona fide relationship such as condo lease agreement, joint account at the bank, verizon call report showing traffic in messages and calls between us daily.

How are you progressing so far?

Hi ,

I am just waiting for the IRS tax transcripts from my husband for the 2016; we ordered it by phone and it should arrive via mail these days. Hopefully by the end of this week I can mail everything.

As far as I read on this forum , we don't need the I-693 if the medical exam in our country is still valid-one year . mine as well has been done in September 2017. So just the page with the vaccination that we received , the DS-3025.

About proof of relationship, oh lord , I had enough so far for the K1 ,but ya some people have included pictures from their wedding , more detailed proofs like those you mentioned are mostly given for the GC  interview , later on.

So , I have the forms and supporting documents for each plus the i-94, certified copy of marriage certificate( we paid 10$ and they gave it to us from the city hall), my certified translated birth certificate since is not in english  ..

have to add as well the 1225$ cheque!!

I think I ve mentioned the things that seemed the most important to me besides the basics supportive papers.

I forgot to ask you , what documents did you need for the drivers license. here in NY, they want a proof of residence, which I don't have at the moment ; so I am using the one from my country and the international drivers license .
