Congratulations to everyone! My interview is in 1.5 weeks but still worried about not having certain items with me! Do I need the actual copy of packet 4 to bring with me or is the email they sent me sufficient? I wasn't expecting them to snail mail me packet 3, but they sent it about a week after I emailed them already!

 I'm so glad you made it! Ann was across the river from you doing POE in Newark.  You look so tired here but I can see the contentment in your eyes.  What I can't stop laughing about is the sign over your heads that says NEED HELP

Have a happy reunion and best of luck to you both

Hellooooo fellow Whiners!

A quick sign of life from the desert. We’re on he way back to Utah, and I’m very happy to be able to post the next wedding photo into our thread!

Last night we said “Yes, I do!” above the lights of Las Vegas, surrounded by family!

And funnywise... our minister was lovely - and German :)

My K-1 journey is really over now; we’ll go back to Virginia on Sunday, and then the next paperwork marathon starts with AOS!

To everyone still on the way: Hang in there, it’s so worth it! :)

Such a beautiful, sweet and happy couple!

Cherish this tender love and may it guide you and give the happiest moments of the life together.

I'll have to write a review for Newark POE here in VJ because the officers there made my fiance feel like a VIP the whole experience from start to finish.  They directed her to the first line and welcomed her to the USA, kidded around with her, asked when she was getting married then retorted with a big cheesy smile 'How will I know if you actually get married?'  Congratulated her for arriving safely, asked her where she was going to live in the US and said 'Oh!  You are going to love it there!'.  Escorted her to the secondary room, took her envelope to the desk for her and offered her a seat in the waiting area.  In 2 to 3 minutes she heard 'chunk, chunk' stamps and her name called and they handed her passport and again congratulated her and pointed the way out to the terminal for the connecting flight.  Lickity split and all the smiles and congratulations and friendly treatment on top.  I am so thankful for the courtesy of the CBP officers and staff for taking such good care of my Fiancee :D  To make it all the better........ They didn't scribble ANYTHING or stamp on the K1 visa!  It is still in new condition.  They stamped on the next page and initialed.  We worked and sacrificed like nothing else in our lives to get this to come to pass.  All the blood, sweat, tears, hours of working in the tropical heat doing construction jobs on days I wasn't working at the hospital, all of this over many many months, came down to a little sticker in a passport that means the world to the 2 of us.

Today we went to church together, this time on THIS side of the world.  Yeah, this is what it all was for, and so worth it......   Welcome to Miami, ANN!

Yaaaaay! So happy for you! Such moments are unforgettable!

My POE will be in Newark as well. Hope they'll treat me same way ;)

Yay for all the POEs. I am lying in the hotel bed in Rapid City, SD. My fiancé is snoring away. My kitty is snoring away on the chair. Me well it’s my normal wake up time 6am except it’s 5am here.

My POE at the International Peace Garden Port was very uneventful. It took them just over an hour to process my K-1. Mainly because they had never done one. They called head office a few times. They asked what I was bringing and I said household goods and a cat. They had us park in the garage but they never looked at my cat or my goods. The officer we had was super nice. He kept apologizing. I joked that in 3 years when they had another K-1 he would have it down. He laughed and said ha USCIS will change the procedure probably. I paid the 6 bucks for my I-94 and it was stapled into my passport and passport stamped with our 90 day mark. Then while we waited for my sister and her husband to use the washroom he was asking me how I met Chris. Then looked at the car and said how the hell did you manage to pack your life into one carload. I said by playing Tetris. He roared with laughter. Told us to have a nice day and waved as we drove out. I was soooo nervous about POE but it was great. Seeing Chris in the hotel lobby was unbelievable. We went out for dinner at a nice restaurant nearby. My fiancé was meeting my brother in law for the first time yesterday and they got along very well. He was telling Chris all the issues he might have with me LOL because my sister and I are alike. So much laughter at dinner. My heart is happy. After breakfast in a couple hours we will head to Walmart or something and pick up sandwiches and drinks and road trip treats and head on the road for our 7 hour trip home. We will take a photo for you all today. Happiness is so wonderful.

Great news! Congratulations! :jest:

May this happiness be never ending story in your life from now on! ;)

I can't tell you how happy I was to see this post!  A dream come true - something worked so hard for and sacrifices made just to get to this moment.  Your dress is AMAZING!   Have a great trip back home today, enjoy every moment from here on, and when you eventually one day come to So Florida, be sure to say HI and Let's All Meet for BEERS.  :D

The hardest part of any move is saying goodbye to those we won't be seeing on a daily basis anymore.  Not only the parents but also the other close relatives who have celebrated the holidays and birthdays with us for the last 2 to 3 decades.  Have a simple POE and I wish you the best of luck in the future with your new life.  I think you are just hours away from Chicago now :)

So glad to read this post, You are well on the way now.  It was also good to read you are happy.  Isn't it wonderful to be with your love and family at the same time?  Just a great drive to Colo Spgs and you are in your new home.  It has been a lot of fun hanging with you over this past summer and reading your posts has been an encouragement to many.  Have a great life together, and I pray you find your new neighborhood as friendly as your hometown.  Congratulations!
