Tries to wait patiently to find out how @twoDs did at the interview. :D

Today is my last day of work at the library. I work 1pm-9pm. Tomorrow I will help Mum with getting her newspaper out to the post office as usual. We always do family lunch on Thursday and I am looking forward to my last one because we will also celebrate my niece's 12th birthday. She turned 12 today. Friday after my sister is done work she will bring her car over here to see if we can fit all my stuff in it and still fit her husband in with us. LOL He so wants to come for the drive. My Mum's car is a bit bigger than my sisters so we may change to hers but either way we will have a car packed up Friday evening. Then early Saturday I will chase my kitty into her carrier and we can get on the road. It will take us about an hour to get to the International Peace Garden POE. We do have one here 5 mins away but it doesn't open til 8am and we want to get on the road before that so are gonna head to our nearest 24 hour port. I don't have faith that anyone of the ports here have seen many k-1s. I suspect we might be in secondary at the port for over an hour. lol I can not wait for this start of life. Chris was so cute this morning he said to me hun if I get breakfast stuff now will it still be good Monday morning? He doesn't want us to have to grocery shop Sunday night. He doesn't drink milk or eat yogurt or cereal like I do. HA I said look at the expiration dates and all those stuff should be fine. He is such a sweetie. We will do a big grocery shop Monday after he gets home from work. He was gonna trade his Monday shift for a Saturday shift but that didn't work out. However he did put in for a trade of working Tuesday-Saturday next week only just so that we could have our first full day together. I told him its fine either way because when he is at work I will be rearranging the furniture and the kitchen. He said please do when I moved in I left everything where it was put down. Such a man. LOL

My last day of work is tomorrow and I can't imagine that I'll be unemployed for only God knows how long time! OMG!

After super intensive last 5 years of work it sounds like nonsense.

And my parents are coming to Kiev tomorrow morning to help me packing my stuff and on Monday we will drive back to Lviv. :jest:

Good luck and have a safe journey! ;)

APPROVED! :D:D

Sorry for being slow on the update, I ended up falling asleep and sleeping in after waking up before 4AM my time to talk to her before the interview, and stayed awake waiting for her call.

The interview was uneventful, and she was disappointed she wasn't asked what our pet names for each other were.

She talked with another K1 visa interviewee that just found out they needed copies of the US citizen's tax returns, not theirs. Oh dear, that's got to be a disappointment!

Based on your experience, @pajobra, she should get her visa back on Monday or Tuesday (which works out well as she's making goodbye visits to friends on her journey home.)

After that it just depends on how fast she can wrap everything up and pack! I'm planning on it taking her a week or so, it can't be more than a couple weeks since we've got some important meetings in the US to attend together.

Today I'm giving away the last bit of furniture from the spare bedroom so she'll have a clean slate for her office/craft room when she arrives.

Good luck on your POE, pajobra!

CONGRATULATIONS!

Happy happy day came to you, finally! :jest:

Wish you to receive that precious visa as soonest and finally embrace each for a happy ever after!

OMG I know right. I have been working in some capacity since I was 15. Even before that I babysat children in my community from age 12 - 18. I am definitely looking into volunteering a few hours a week so I don't go plum crazy. lol

Thank you. You too hun :D

Well my fiance just told me he is meeting a lady from colorado springs buy and sell page to buy a keurig from her. The exact model I wanted. He sent me the picture and its in great condition. The lady said its not even a year old and she is selling it because her husband got her something different so she no longer needs it. Woohoo. I feels all special now! I love coffee but I am only a couple cups a day kinda person so a whole coffee pot is wasted on me. I do have one of the single drip things you put over a cup but now that keurig pods are becoming recyclable I do not feel so bad about having one. :D Plus I can get some Tim Horton's pods. Wooohooo!!!! I do love me some Tim Hortons.

Too funny i just bought one from costco online they had a sale on them!!! Im leaving mine back home as it wasnt worth shipping and i wanted a better one with more water storage

Hey guys - so I still haven't received any letter for DS-160 from the embassy, however I received the notice from NVC stating they forwarded my visa to the embassy (just got it even though on their site it and the letter is dated Oct 3...)

I'm wondering when do I register on usvisa-info.com ? do I have to wait for the DS-160 and packet from the embassy? it says "You must have an Immigrant Visa appointment notice from the National Visa Center (NVC), KCC, or Consular Section"

Is what I received the same thing or just an "update"?

Also...when registering is it petitioner or applicant that puts their info?

Thanks!!

I didn't see anyone answer so I hope I can help a little

The beneficiary should receive a letter from the embassy that they have the case and what your next steps are (packet 3)

D's 160 is done by the beneficiary online print and keep the confirmation page

Depending on your embassy will depend on if you make your own appt or they assign you one.   For us we had to return a readiness letter that confirmed we had all listed documents in hand and then they sent us back an appt

Hope that helps

Sharing something with y'all.    Ann is well on her way and I am so happy to say that she is now on the same side of the world as me :D:D:D:D We are both in the same sunshine and in the same continent.  https://flightaware.com/live/flight/UAL88

This website tracks about any flight you want so you know where they are in the world.   Waiting on a P O E is kinda like waiting on uscis, but this tracker actually works :D

Lot's of March POE's in the next few days......

Awesome! I bet you both will be happy campers tomorrow!

Looks like our POE will be in a little more than two weeks, as she needs to wrap up her life there and pack (and I think spend a little more time with mom.)

I'm still shaking my head at people just getting NOA2 now.

LOL  She'll have jet lag after 30 hrs of travel and I will have 8 straight days of work behind me, so a short celebration on Miami Beach or South Beach and no alarm clocks tomorrow morning :D

2 weeks..... Great!!!  I'm not sure if there ever is enough time to say goodbye to family, though.  Our family is taking it hard, even though they had a year to get used to it, it still was hard.  My mother in law was texting me this morning telling me she is already missing her..... I felt so guilty :(

A lot of change from talking about doing something and actually seeing it coming to pass.  An adjustment for all of us.   Canada is close enough and the ease of Canadians to come and go should make some flights to AZ possible to visit.  I think we have a lot of March filers POE in the next few days.  Eric & Olya are enroute to JFK, and Pajobra is in a few days.... Yzabelle is about a day away from Chicago, too.    So many are wrapping this all up.  It's really cool to see successful couples here.

I kinda lost track of who is still waiting for NOA2.  I have seen approvals of the ones I could remember but I bet there are some March filers still waiting, too.  Those May filers are really feeling the wait..... They are just getting into May full swing with a lot of  earlier filers left behind.  Sure glad we didn't have that kind of wait :)

Canada is close enough and yet so far too as I will be 15.5 hours by car from my family. I am having a very emotional day today. One minute I am happy next minute I am crying. I am very very much looking forward to being with my fiance but also very sad to be leaving my family. Family is everything and adding Chris into the family is wonderful. I am gonna miss my Mum something awful even though sometimes she drives me nuts but then what parent doesn't drive their kid nuts. LOL I am also scared about POE. Scared about being turned away because we have received mixed answers on the cat. My sister called the POE we were going through initially although that has changed to another now but they said Pixie needed her Rabies vaccination sheet and a clean bill of health from the vet. Neither of which I have. Yet the US customs and border protections website says cats do not need to have either of those things to be imported except that we will have to adhere to the state we will be in. I already have an appointment set up at a vet in Colorado Springs to get her a vaccination and a checkup. So I called the main line and they said I should be just fine but still I worry about the WHAT IF.....I would never leave my cat and my fiance knows that. I have had Pixie since she was 7 weeks old and she is 12 years old now. I am so scared and so nervous and kinda having mini panic attacks. I have been not letting Chris know so that he doesn't get worried too. We are both big worriers lol.

Anyway POE is tomorrow morning probably around 8am. I already know its going to be, likely, around an hour or more there due to the fact that hardly any of them know how to do k-1s. I prepared my sister and her man that it would take a bit. My sister said ok then that is why we leave early in the morning. We haven't discussed what time we will leave yet. Sometime between 6am-7am though as the POE is an hour from us. My sister is dropping her car off here tonight for me to pack up and have ready to go in the morning. They only live 5 doors down from us lol so will just walk over in the morning along with my niece who gets to stay with grandma overnight so she is super excited. lol

I only have one small load of laundry left to do and then pack that away in my suitcase. Other then my computer and Pixie that is it. My computer I will take apart later tonight after I finish talking to Chris. I won't however pack it until tomorrow morning as I don't want to leave it outside overnight.

Sorry for rambling I tend to do that when I am nervous.

Good luck to all who POE soon and who soon have interviews and those still waiting for NOA2's STAY STRONG!
