Okay so, my fiance's medical appointment is next Thursday (Nov. 2nd). I am SOOOOOOOO nervous!!!!

It will be fine. But I understand I was nervous and I went through the medical but it was so much nothing. Basically you are paying for a bunch of tests, expensive tests. lol Your fiance will do awesome.

Hoping for some insight from anyone.

I did my interview on October 11 in Montreal, but unfortunately forgot a document which I have since sent on the 16th if not the 17. Just wondering when will I hear back from the embassy? I know I should wait another week before reaching out to them but anyone got a clue about a situation like this?

Thanks in advance!!

Ps. @pajobra so exciting!!!

OMG I was just thinking about you and was going to send you a message asking how things were going. So glad you posted.

What does your CEAC status say? Often its only a week after they receive it and if all in order they issue your visa. I assume they kept your Passport meaning you were approved if you sent in your Police Report.

Thanks dear!!! I really hope so. I'm just stressing myself out over the chest x-ray part. He had TB when he was in High School and went through many months of proper treatment and was fully healed, but he has no medical records. His parents kept it very hush-hush because of the stigma around having it and they lived in a super small town so didn't want judgement from everyone. I know he doesn't have it currently because he would obviously be ill, but I'm just worried if they send him for additional sputum testing or whatever since it would cause a major delay and our wedding is in 3 months!! But I'm trying to stay positive as I know worrying won't help at all.

So happy for you that your POE is soon!!! Best wishes for stress-free travel :)

And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."

APPROVED! :D:D

Sorry for being slow on the update, I ended up falling asleep and sleeping in after waking up before 4AM my time to talk to her before the interview, and stayed awake waiting for her call.

The interview was uneventful, and she was disappointed she wasn't asked what our pet names for each other were.

She talked with another K1 visa interviewee that just found out they needed copies of the US citizen's tax returns, not theirs. Oh dear, that's got to be a disappointment!

Based on your experience, @pajobra, she should get her visa back on Monday or Tuesday (which works out well as she's making goodbye visits to friends on her journey home.)

After that it just depends on how fast she can wrap everything up and pack! I'm planning on it taking her a week or so, it can't be more than a couple weeks since we've got some important meetings in the US to attend together.

Today I'm giving away the last bit of furniture from the spare bedroom so she'll have a clean slate for her office/craft room when she arrives.

Good luck on your POE, pajobra!

Yay!!!! Congrats!!! So happy for you, fellow Phoenician! :D

Thank you! I hope the rest of your visa processing goes well!

This has been a loooong wait. VJ says 226 days, so probably about 240 days to POE, and that's not counting that we started with our lawyer on 1/15. It looks like we'll be getting married almost exactly one year from the engagement.

As the wife-to-be is fond of saying, at least we won't be doing this again!

Different embassy, but we got packet 3 via email about 24 hours after the DS-160 was submitted. It was very fast.

@twoDs congratulations.... Yes, you've waited through so much with the lawyer..... Glad it's totally off their desk and in your hands now.  Speedy POE before snow flies too much.

@pajobra Safe travels and may you get back to that fantastic little village to visit soon...... They're gonna miss you so much.

@KozmicBlues  so glad u are progressing.  Every stage has worry so just trust it will be fine.  I'm praying for good results.

@Ste&Sel nice progress.... Interview just around the corner buddy.

@mytruelove18 i can't imagine the impatience i would have in your shoes.  kateryna endured it too but it worked out and she has a visa in hand today.  Have faith.  Whatever they are stuck on, they'll get it sorted out.  Praying for you too.

Did anyone in our group go through the Warsaw, Poland embassy? I've just been curious and checking into the process for Belarusians, and no I'm not planning anything. I just like to play around with ideas like a cat with a ball of yarn. I find it odd that those from Belarus go through the Warsaw embassy even though Kiev, Ukraine is closer to most cities in the country.
