Sharing a pic of our day spent relaxing before interview.  While the Manila embassy is a good venue for your fiancee to interview alone.... just my presence made it like VIP treatment.  My blue US Passport eliminated every line and we were ushered right into the cool AC environment immediately upon our arrival on embassy grounds. Poor Ann looked so stressed- i started in with humor to lighten the mood. "Are you scared?" "How about now?" "What about now?".  Then some random stranger was in front of us waiting for pre.screeening so I started in on her with the same dialogue.  Ann says 'you are so makulit '   It was no stress, because all we had to do was tell our story and we wrote it but still, Ann's nerves made her hands wet with sweat.  After prescreening and the dreaded 'fingerprint man' up next, he was very Very cordial and polite and patient. Hey, this blue passport really is cool to have  

So, if you can go to interview with your F in the PHILIPPINES, do it!  It's a great help for your fiancee and seeing the embassy is cool

Opinion........

Since my suite is above the US Embassy compound, and considering they have all left for home on this long 3 day holiday weekend..... do you think it would be too forward of me to fill their compound with paper airplanes over the weekend, all with messages asking if they've issued our visa yet? LOL the things I think of, Good thing I also have restraint (and a lack of 5 million sheets of paper).

So much paper!!

Im in montreal and our building just had a fire drill usually at home youd grab the most important thing to you and run! So of course i panick and grab my medical papers/xray, keys, coat and run! 😂 17 floors down!!! Lesson of the day ..never buy/rent anything above 17 floors unless you love cardio! And always have your immigration papers ready to run with incase of emergency! 😂🤓

We worked way too hard for this ! Lol

My POE is gonna be in 23 days. Phew. Almost 3 weeks. I can no longer wait. :)) my fiancé and I will have our wedding in January 2018. He wanted to do it that time  because his allowed leave at work will reset by next year. So yeah. We'll have more time to prepare for the wedding. It's ginna be freezing cold in Chicago.. 😭😭😭

I’ve been off a couple weeks during my transition into the USA! All settled in in Pittsburgh now! This site has changed with the emoji likes? And we got shut down elsewhere haha! Congrats to everyone’s progress and hang tight those still waiting!

My transition into the USA was very smooth! Only thing that’s tough is no one will get you anything without proof of residency, and hard to get that without an SSN I have found! Read somewhere on this site to wait two weeks to get SSN because of the system? I wish I had gone the very first day I arrived, because all she did was put my passport and visa info into system, was very nice and told me it would be processed overnight and to expect it anywhere from 7 days to 35 days but likely next week though! So to anyone else - don’t wait! Just go in and apply! I am in limbo on a car purchase because of the stupid SSN! Other than that, just waiting to marry my Mr, and file for everything else! ❤️

Sorry it coming late guys, We have been out all day long. We were APPROVED at the US Embassy today. This is the easiest interview I have ever been to. As the Petitioner, I was able to interview and answer questions with my fiancee. I think the Petitioner being available during the interview also looks good.

 

All they took was I-134 (it was returned), Passport, Tax Transcripts, Police Reports.

 

The interview took about 8 mins max  and the whole process was about 1.5 hours.
