My fiance's flying to Manila in the morning for the medical and interview. This is so stressful but exciting at the same time. Just waiting now for the news to get her.

Best of luck.  Medical is 10.4 and interview is 10.6?

Finally!!!!! Congratulations!!!!

It's unbelievable how much you had to wait - do catch up with us now, I'm sure they still have plenty of free slots for booking, like they did in August.

Good luck!

Thank you so much, Olechka!

A bit of relief as of now and soon new worries this time about coming interview.

I also hope they'll have some extra available slots for us ;)

I really wonder what goes on with NVC.  The only thing I can find that they do with a K1 is to assign a embassy case number to the petition, run your names through NCIC, and send it to the embassy.  There must be more that they don't tell us.....

Glad yours got shoved out the door and off to the embassy.  Hope your embassy is a quick one and you can make up some lost time now.  Sounds like you are ready, just need the interview and you are set.   Best of luck to you ;)

What I've found checking available information on this is NVC can have basically the same case check as USCIS.

They pick cases randomly and make it go through all the necessary check points but as written in NOA2 they need at least 30 days for this.

So we were lucky to get into this random selection :)

Thank you so much for all the wishes and support! Appreciate it!

Yep, we pretty much prepared but still need to do some stuff to be 100% prepared.

Yay! Glad to hear your case is finally moving forward again! Hope all goes well with the DS160 and interview scheduling!

Thank you so much, Nicolas!

Appreciate your support!

Btw, you look so brutal with this beard and in glasses :) totally different look ;)

I even though that's not you.

Hey guys! Does it seem normal that our case would be in "administrative processing" this long at NVC? We haven't had our interview yet or anything btw! It is so weird... our USCIS approval was dated July 21st. Then of course it said "In Transit" on NVC, and finally it said "Ready" at NVC on August 1st. After a while, it changed to this? Anyone have any idea?

Ugh, that's horribly long:( @Kateryna_I had the same, they were stuck for more than two months in AP there. As far as I know, NVC can randomly select a case for more thorough checks. So, you just drew the short straw, but as you've been waiting for so long, it has to be over soon. Good luck!

Actually we had not quite the same situation.

Our case showed "at NVC" status during entire period staying at NVC. No AP/in transit or other statements.

We've stuck for 1 month and 1 week. Terrible period after 5 months of waiting to get NOA2.

Taking into account how long you've been waiting it supposed to be over in the nearest time but what I can suggest you is to call NVC and reach supervisor. That's what we've done and after what status changed. Best of luck to you and your beloved!

Received package 3 from the embassy via email today (afternoon time), no call. :dancing:

Can you please suggest what delivery service is better to use to send the documents?

Fast and furious of course :D

Thanks!

Olechka, I'm talking about documents delivery from petitioner (for the interview), not passport delivery :)

It was normal for Russia - It didn't actually change from 'Administrative Processing' until after the interview and the visa was issued.

So our case managed to get out of the NVC on Friday and today ceac status shows "Ready". :jest:

Awaiting for a call/email from the embassy to proceed with ds160 registration and interview booking. :dancing: Medical done two weeks ago. A bit confused cause when I gave case number at the medical it was without two digits and KEV letters in the end that appeared today after case was received by the embassy. Hope it won't be an issue.

Thank you everyone for your support. You are an awesome people and I wish all the best with your loved ones!

Awesome :D!! So glad to hear it!  You were waiting so long, gees.

Petitioners, what is the most useless (in your opinion) object you've bought/are going to buy for your beneficiary?

Eric will have to buy a hair drier for me before I come, and you can see from our profile pic why he would never find it useful:)

My fiance has to buy a huge suitcase for all his stuff.  We're gonna be in San Francisco, where space is at a premium like you wouldn't believe, and I already have 3 suitcases in the closet.    I could def lose one of the three, but man, how dumb that I didn't bring one of them with me to Denmark this year..

He hasn't gone into full pack mode yet so I'm not sure what else might come up. :D  He's very efficient, though, so this may be the only wasteful thing.  Something kind of sweet he's doing is bringing all his favorite animation films (including dubbed Disney movies) in Danish -- but he's converted them to a digital format, so at least it isn't anything that takes up much physical space.
