Nothing on my i485 here. I applied December 18 2017. (Chicago)

I phoned today for the 1st time. Did not get much info.. however i did find out that their online tracking system is glitching. So they are trying to move cases from one system to another, which doesn't effect your case its just that the online system may not update properly (nothing new there).. she said to keep waiting or i can make an info pass appointment and i told her that's okay because it is only for general questions and doesn't speed up the process.

I asked why others are being approved that are in the same city and applied months after myself and she didnt have an answer for that she just said that the cases are in your cities office and they handle them there..

We're in the same boat. I posted yesterday in the January AOS filers. There's a single approval of a I-485 in our city (Phoenix) this year that happened in May, and it had a NOA about three weeks after ours.

It seems to be a repeat of the K1 wait all over again. We applied for the EAD/AP at the same time and got those, so at least something happened. If I look at the prior I-485 approvals in our city, it looks like the wait was 10-11 months and got progressively longer in 2017.

Hope both of us get some movement soon!

I found the DHS site (login required) has info where the old USCIS doesn't. USCIS crashes on out 485 but the DHS site lists the correct NOA dates. Both show the EAD/AP correctly.

We received an e-mail yesterday informing us our interview for the Green Card has been scheduled!

Within 3 months we will have had a move across the country, me starting a new job and our GC interview. Sure keeps things interesting!

Received our interview notice! Anyone have any tips? :)

Congrats!!!! :)

Well, each state differs. I was asked questions only from application form i485 and to provide everything we can to confirm our relationship.

We brought everything we could - bills, mutual tax returns, honeymoon trip confirmation, wedding dress receipt, new pictures, even invitation to the wedding. :)

It was quick and simple, but we didn't get an answer or at least understanding of the positive result in the end. The officer just told that she will review all cases in the end of the day and send her decision by mail.

USCIS web-site was helpful as they post an updates of our case, so I new the result much earlier then received letter via mail.

In most states people get their reply in a week time.

Good luck to you!!!!

Thank you!!

I'm a bit worried because we don't have any mutual bills/tax returns yet. My husband wasn't required to file tax returns last year as he's not working (we have a co-sponsor) but we do have plenty of photos together and with other people, as well as some mail addressed to us at the same address to prove we live together. Hopefully that would be enough!

As far as the i485 questions - what kind of questions were they? Like just to confirm your biographical info like name, SSN, etc?

Did they ask your husband any questions at all?

Thanks! I've filed last December, got an RFE at the end of April and EAD/AP in mid-June. The interview request was dated 07/25, I think. So, about 8 months total.

I honestly wasn't counting to get anything until late fall for some reason, and then was super surprised to hear some of our original March filers were already through the interview and had green cards in hand!

Our local office is in CA, which seems to be behind some others. So, hopefully, you get something really soon too!
