I really REALLY need in person instead of pixels and 0's and 1's :D

Yeah, I felt bad for @TearsOfBabylon who couldn't get to everyone to say goodbye and then they was showing up in the train station to see her off.   It's sooooo hard to lift up a life in one side of the globe and move it to another side.  She's gonna be sorely missed in Germany - just like you are going to be missed in Ukraine.  Kinda cool for the US......... We get some awesome people out of the deal! :D

Have you tried IMO IT IS FREE and need to buy credits for anything good video also

Skype works perfectly.  It's the lack of interpersonal communication I hate.  We use Whatsapp video, also, but having someone physically with you as opposed to half a world away on a computer or app.

After so long of a LD relationship and 4 to 5 months between personally seeing each other,  I'm just ready to get us in the same household :D

You have to choose IMMIGRANT, so your case is already at the Embassy (since September 14th).

Check their website to know what are the next steps for your country or ask someone else from Egypt here on VJ.

Most likely you'll hear from the Embassy soon, or you can contact them yourself to know how to proceed.

Start working the DS160 in any case. Good luck!

Thank you so much for your help. the problem i don't know Egyptians here on vj who made k1 visa and i checked the website of the embassy and it is written there that (Packet 3 is an email from the embassy sent to the petitioner.) . do you suggest i call the empassy or send email to them?

There are some inconsistencies between federal agencies as to whether the K1 is a non-immigrant or immigrant visa. According to the US Department of State, which you are dealing with at this point, it is classified as an immigrant visa.

YESSSSS i agree there are some inconsistencies  and there is many things that made me feeling lost with those papers and steps  and is too frustrating for me

I did so with mine to try and speed things, sending an email with my complete contact info (they didn't have my email) and letting them know I was ready to proceed.

It might work for you, since they have had the case there for a couple of weeks already.

Never hurts to be proactive. Good luck! :)

I don't mind Skype, I've been using it for work too. What I hate is waking  up at 5.15 every morning to talk. Well, 3 more weeks - and there will be no time difference, yay!:jest:Eric is coming here on Oct 22 to help us pack and move.

Saying goodbye will be hard, I'm sure, so in a sense I'm happy to be awfully busy - no time for crying just yet:)

Thank you both. :) Its 4:40am and I am up and at em. Gonna need some coffee I think. Mum and I leave in half an hour and it is a 2.5 hour drive to the airport. I am the one driving because A) My Mum does not drive in the dark and B) My Mum does not drive in the city. I figure I can grab some Z's on the 2.5 hour flight to Montreal. We do plan on having fun. :D Since we have 7 days between my Medical and Interview. We plan on doing lots of touristy things and hopefully go for a boat ride on the St. Lawrence. We are also going to head to Ottawa by train from Montreal on the 7th and come back on the 8th to Montreal. My sister lives in Ottawa so we are gonna go visit her and take a parliament tour of the Parliament building in Ottawa. :D Also being the librarian that I am we plan on hitting up some of the libraries in Montreal. Yes yes I am a geek and proud of it. LOL

So, everything is in motion! My last post wasn't the happiest, but I've never felt so happy, at least nothing like this! He's on the flight right now from SYD to LAX. He get's there around 6am PST, and I'm EST so that will be around 9am my time. They are a bit early and will land by about 15-30 minutes before the time they were supposed to. Hoping a smooth POE, I'm nervous... I haven't seen him since December 2016. I can't believe this is happening! I will be back with more details. I can't wait to speak with you guys, it's been a while. I've mostly just been posting updates for you guys. I've been trying to clean and make everything perfect, figure out a nice outfit, and last minute stuff. School, wow, if I would have known how stressful and how busy I would have been I would have considered only enrolling in one class instead of two a term. I've been so busy the last 16 hours, and haven't gotten much sleep these days. I hope everything is going smoothly for you guys, and I'm excited for you all, this experience has been intense emotionally for me.

I will let you all know how his POE went.

Oh, and I still have to post his experience with the embassy. I want to let everyone know how that went. They were shocked by how many papers he had, and he said they were very nice, seemed to joke around/were laid back with him, and it seems he made a pretty good impression right from the beginning. He said the lady he had denied a few people while he was there, so it just feels super good to know we did things right, from the looks of it. I also want to give hope to those to not be scared if they have any issues issues, for example, the ESTA that he traveled on last year should have been an inauthorization from getting denied a visitor visa in the past, but on the ESTA form it was incorrectly selected that he wasn't. He was denied Nov 2015, and ESTA was done in Sep 2016. He also applied again without attending the interviews twice (long story) a month after the denial and again in Aug 2016. I have to say our relationship wasn't easy with some stuff, but we have managed to get through this whole thing. This process was made to make everything hard on us, and see how we react. We all have to be a team, but that's how a true marriage is supposed to be. It's not going to always be pretty, either.  Anyways, now I am preaching. :PThey know about the error since we stated it on the DS-160 and he had a paper to explain the situation, and didn't even ask him at the interview about it. So heads up to those that are scared not to stress yourselves. I did, and people said we would have to do a waiver. Of course, I asked many attorneys who seemed to know we would as well. I guess I'm saying, just see things neutrally and appreciate the advice at the same time so you know how to prepare. I know I let it get to me, and was paranoid throughout this whole thing. As long as your country isn't high fraud, they won't be too hard with you if you're honest with them. The consular officer almost laughed because the bank statements from the lady at the bank misunderstood and gave me for both my co-sponsor and myself a whole stack (like a book) of our transactions, and included a paper with the other information. So I just sent it to him and they didn't have a problem with 7 pounds of documents (I know, I went overboard. Lol) but all went well. She seemed to tell him to remember when POE ask him what he's in America for, to tell them he is getting married because that was a question he was asked and she mentioned that he gave the right response, when many people that day didn't. So, overall, be honest and good luck to those who are going to interviews soon, congrats on recent approvals, and if you are still waiting for the NOA2, it's coming soon. I'm sure most would have gotten it by now, hopefully.

I will be back soon. :)

P.S. I noticed how much I type, haha! Since being on VJ it has grown more and time. Maybe I should write some books on my chronicals through this process.
