1.  This is a good overall message that everyone (on all sides) can dial things back.  We all have complete personal choice to do so.

2.  Remember the dual hats -- "regular member" is one.

3.  It certainly can be.  Before the last couple of days, this forum was a true pleasure, with soundly respectful expression of opinion.  We can have that again, with just a little "ready, aim, think-before-posting" versus "ready, fire, perhaps aim."  There are a lot of brilliant and thoughtful minds participating in this forum, and these qualities shine through when people simply dial the other stuff back.  It's something to consider.

But shouldn't moderators be subjected to the same TOS as the rest of the community, regardless of the hat they wear? 

 

What are the chances that a simple mortal member would not have his/her wrist slapped and suspended for telling another member ".... and yet here you are...." Isn't that against TOS, and doesn't it fall under spamming or being hostile towards another VJ member? In addition, isn't that considered "making a comment in a Post direct(ly) or implied toward another member that are purposely designed to upset" said member?
