My dad filling out the I-134

Matt got the package from the embassy! :D So now I am finishing off the things on my end.

Since I have just recently returned from New Zealand, I am still looking for full time employment. Can I just have my dad fill out the I-134 as Matt's sole sponsor? I went through the forms with him, and he is giving me copies of the real estate tax form (shows value of house) and what is left of the mortgage, 3 pay stubs, and a copy of his etrade account which shows stocks, bonds, and savings. The form says they want a letter from your bank, but he says you can't really get someone from etrade to write him a letter, so do you think a copy of the account is good enough? Also, he says he doesn't know that his office ever uses official letterhead, so is is a problem if his boss writes a letter on just plain paper? (He works for 3M.) I asked him about his tax returns, but he says it's a lot of pages, and since it is only asked for if you are self-employed, he doesn't think I need them.

Oh, and I looked at the guide, and it says to put N/A where they ask about specific contributions. Is this really ok?? Or is it better to be on the safe side and list room and board as needed?

Thanks for any help!!

Have a read here re the I-134

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=305

Keep in mind that the I-134 is only one thing that a Conof will look at in dermining if an applicant will or wont become a public charge. Consulates will vary on their requirements and Conofs will base their judgements on individual applicants.

You can put N/A just as in in the guide for the contributions. That particular question is aimed at those applying for other non-immigrant visas where an I-134 is used.

Hope this helps some.
