i-130 Nebraska Service Centre June filers

Hi All,

 

I am a June 2017 i-130 filer for husband. Can someone please let me know when will they review our file? I have only received notice of receipt from USCIS. Our case is in Nabarska Service centre

I filed in July. According to my attorney we should here of the I-130 approval 6-8 months from Receipt. 

 

Ive heard of a case when they got the I-130 approved in 5 months so I'm hoping it goes quickly too

I hate to break the news to you but Nebraska is currently taking up to 10 months right now to get approved. I have been waiting nearly 8 months at Nebraska. There are some serious problems happening at this processing center. For some reason they have not transferred the backlog to other service centers such as Potomac and Vermont who are only taking 5 months to process and Texas which is at about 6 months. I would prepare yourselves for a very long wait. Over the past three months it's gotten really bad.

Wow well I guess we can keep each other updated. Also does anyone know if we should create an account to check our status on uscis.gov I already have the receipt number so I check the status. Does it help to create an account is there more info in it?

You can create an account on USCIS to check your case but it will probably be a while before your case is even touched. There are a number of us emailing various contacts at USCIS to try to get Nebraska to speed up their processing times.
