I think the reality is that PR had relatively poor infrastructure, was hammered by two storms (one historic) and is not accessible by land. The island is devastated with 19 out of 20 folks with no communications, impassible or dangerous roads, water and power wiped out and the threat of devastation still out there for many. 

Our FEMA staff must be stretched to the end with three historic storms back to back. They along with many of the on shore and off shore responders deserve our appreciation.

We don't need to pretend the devastation isn't that bad or the Puerto Ricans or "leftists" are to blame. It is just a tough hand.

 

We need continue to push hard as a people however we can.

 

The original post was about looking forward to rebuilding, we have a long road ahead.

The Puerto Rico local government should also share the blame for being ill-prepared since the island has a long history with tropical storms.

Yep, follow the narrative the Left Wing Media is trying to perpetuate.  It is interesting how the governor was claiming this was the best preparations ever and supplies started moving even as the storm was just clearing, but that is not enough for the MDL.  Here comes this mayor acting as a tool calling out things that she doesn't even know and the MDL makes her a credible source and ignore the other mayors, or the governor that say things are happening.

He is not?  The PR governor said this was the best preparations PR had ever encountered given their second class status.  How many storms hit during the last 8 years, I think it was 4 or 5, so apparently the previous administration could not handle a crisis either.
