It's their right to protest. I am sure MLK and the march on Washington pissed off many, many people of all colors, and yet, ahead they plowed. Protesting is not a comfortable activity. Change is uncomfortable.

To compare these player to MLK is just sad.  MLK was protesting government instituted racism, these players are protesting who knows what.

These players are protesting what they see as what is still unequal treatment of black persons in the most advanced and powerful civilization in history. They are protesting inequalities that have no place in our country. They are justified in their peaceful protest. And even if they weren't it's still their birth right to protest in our country.

They were not being paid to guard the Lincoln memorial.  MY only beef is the are using they stage they are not  being paid for to further their own cause. The NFL

That's between them and their bosses. Where I work, employees are able to express their political views openly. The boss - crazy unabashed liberal, if there ever was one - is all for freedom of expression. So long as everyone does their job, he couldn't care less if they kneel during the anthem, or if they take time of their work day to collect goods and money to send to people in TX, LA, FL, and not PR as well. There are several ways for people to express their love for our country, and sometimes that love is expressed in terms of bringing up attention to things that aren't right in our nation.

Again, I disagree with your opinion and don't understand how you arrived at that conclusion that I implied such by my comment.

Stating he doesn't have a deeper understanding doesn't mean he has the same understanding, or the same amount of knowledge.
