Extension Letter & Green Card name mismatch - travel

I recently filed my I-751 to remove conditions on my green card (married to a US citizen). I received my extension letter. My green card was issued in my maiden name. I have since changed my name on my UK passport, Social Security, etc. to my married name. When I filed to have the conditions removed on my green card I included evidence of this name change and filled out the form under my married name, with a request to have my name updated on my green card once (fingers crossed!) it is approved. Because of this, my extension letter has my married name on it.

I have travel to England coming up that I have booked with my married name (which is the one on my passport and my extension letter). Does anyone know if I will have a problem re-entering the US given the fact that the name on my green card (maiden name) is not the same as the name on the extension letter and passport? I will, of course, carry my marriage certificate and old passport (maiden name) with me to show the relationship between the two names. My UK passport also says "Also known as Dr. Firstname Maidenname" since I use that for professional purposes. My main concern is that the green card and extension letter do not have the same name on them (though, of course, they do have the same A-number).

Thanks for any insight/experience anyone can give me. My name has been a constant source of frustration lately!

My wife never had a problem with this on multiple U.S. trips. Both at the foreign and U.S. airports, things went smoothly.

One exception is when we did online check-in for her flight. As is standard, the check-in webpage required traveler information, but for the green card expiration date, there was no "Extension letter" option. We just chose the green card expiration date plus one year, and it works fine. Similarly, if I recall correctly, her sister, who has Advance Parole, couldn't find an "Advance Parole" option and we choose "Green card," since it was the closest thing. That worked fine too, but they asked to see her NoA since it lists her full name (EAD/APs and green cards tend to show first name, middle initial, and last name). I'm not sure why this was never required of my wife with her green card, but oh well.

As you said, bring your marriage certificate. We have never been asked for it despite travel to many countries (via air and car), but as you say it is the way of demonstrating name change.
