I really suggest getting a job as soon as possible.  Show the CO that you are working and trying your best to support your family.  If you already are concerned about the question, get out in front of it and show that you are working.  It will come up and it will be better if you are not solely relying on the co-sponsor.  I wish you the best of luck.

Thank you 😊

I know of people on VJ who were approved with no job, as they were still studying in school. One of those people happen  to be me. I did have some income such a child support, but very very little at that. The others Ive came across didn't even have that and were still approved with no income. But they have a co-sponsor.

It is amazing how things have changed since January!!!  The new administration has impacted all of us in some way.  You had your visa in 7 months.  It is almost taking us that long just for the NOA2 (slight exaggeration...it will be 6 months though).  I really am jealous of you old-timers!!!!

Congratulations on a successful journey and the new addition to your family!

Each case is unique, and people are providing the OP with suggestion on how to avoid a denial.

The reason I asked if she had a job was because she has four children to support. Beyond family financial support, is the OP also getting government support? They do look at the totality of the situation during the interview. This is about helping the OP with her question, and the OP obviously can ignore any of the responses she does not like.

Exactly why I was giving OP my experience as well. There have been cases approved in the past with no source of income, but a significant co-sponsor. I have 4 kids as well. Im not sure why you're getting so defensive because I've given my opinion, which is based off of previous K1 cases I've encountered on VJ.

Congratulations on a successful journey and the new addition to your family!

Thank you so much! You know our case would've gone by a lot faster but we were stuck at the embassy for almost 3 months.  I emailed and emailed over and over with no response. It was ridiculous. Finally I got an app on my phone and made the call to the embassy in Saudi Arabia. Right as I got on the phone with the man, the app ran out of minutes. I was on a video chat with my husband at the time, and it wasn't 30 seconds later that his phone rang. He picked it up and it was the embassy. He told my husband that his fiancé had called because we've been waiting for an interview  for so long,  and that I hung up. My husband told him what happened, and the man started apologizing for the delay in our interview. He scheduled my husband for an interview the very next day! We were so thrilled. Come to find out the man that my husband and I both spoke with was the CO who was interviewing him. He was so apologetic, and told my husband that our case had somehow "fallen through the cracks". There was no telling how long we would've waited if I hadn't made that call. I dont intend to hijack this thread, just a fun little story from my journey!

Sorry if you felt my response was defensive, but it was not meant to be.

I think VJ members always bring all options on the table. Is it likely that the OP is refused visa even having a co sponsor? No. Is it possible ? yes if her education and job history is bad and his education and job history is bad. If he has a good job or education in Mexico, they will figure he can make it in the USA. There is no 100%, and getting a job for the OP will be better, but it is still likely to get an approval based on a co sponsor.
