Good afternoon everyone!

I have a quick question.

are there any US petitioners who have their beneficiary in the UK and have been through the final interview process yet?

I see a lot of information on the interview reviews from the London embassy that talk about getting an employer letter but I simply have my Social Security statements, as I suffer from a chronic long-term illness.

thanks in advance.

Depending on how much you get in SSDI and how many dependents you have, you may need a co-sponsor. You also need to make sure you are up to date with fulfilling your tax requirements - If you are not filing taxes because of the amount of disability and no other income (rental properties, investments, etc), then I would write a letter about this and perhaps have it notarized.

I know this didn't answer your question, but I am sure there are MANY people from the UK who have successfully completed their interviews and are in the US

There is an entire forum on Visa Journey dedicated to the UK. IT's a good place to post your London questions.

Your statement can be considered the same thing as an employer letter. It is something from the one who pays you income that says how much you make. The same would be true for those getting Social Security retirement. Or those who receive a company pension. It falls into the same category as "employer letter" for the purpose of proving income at your K1 interview in London. You do not have to take a tax return or prove you are filing taxes at a K1 interview in London.
