Thank you.  It wouldn't be possible without the help of you guys and this website!

About the CFO, can this be scheduled and taken before the Visa is in hand?

Yes, no issue for those that need to attend GCP at CFO.

Thank you.  So far no one at NVC has mentioned anything about shipping the file to the embassy via snail mail; the two times I called they said the case file is sent electronically.

Glad to here about SLEC, i.e., being able to leave with the file in hand to go to the embassy interview.  She will take the NVC letter with her and I will have her print out the CEAC page showing the MNL and "Ready" status, along with the embassy interview confirmation printout.  She is already registered online and will bring the registration confirmation.

Also happy to hear about not needing to get to SLEC super early; she was none too please when I mentioned she had to get there at 4am!

Thanks again.

Case files from NVC are shipped via DHL to USEM.

If your status on the CEAC website shows READY, then all is good.

Yes that can be completed before Visa is in hand you would just need to get that certificate and take it to the airport and they will give you a stamp at the airport to go through immigration.

This is true, but it is my understanding that you need to go back to the CFO with the certificate and get the stamp after the visa gets approved.  But it should be a quick in and out of the CFO to get the stamp.

You can get the certificate/stamp/endorsement from CFO at any of their locations including the airport. If getting the stamp at the airport their are a few more steps in the process but it's still simple.

Yes, but NAIA, Clark, and Cebu have CFO offices at the airport where you can just drop in to get the stamp. I don't know about Davao if they have one or not.

BTW... I love that road sign. I always like to see it when I drive up the 15.

Are you sure about Cebu and Clark having offices at the airport?

Is the airport in Davao an international airport?  Getting big time there.  ;)

I apologize about that but Cebu does have a office but the airport does not. Clark does have a walk in clinic and we talked about this early this week.

Davao has been a International airport for a long time but as of right now they only fly directly to Singapore and occasionally Saudi Arabia for Hajj. But as it has always been Davao gets the shaft on almost everything.

NAIA does have an office but the request that you call in advance so that they have an idea when to expect you as they are in and out of their office traveling from terminal to terminal.  Here are the details if anyone is interested:

They request that you call ahead 2-3 days to schedule and appointment to meet and receive the CFO completion stcker.

CFO NAIA: 632-879-5685 or 02-879-5685

They are open from 5am till 12 midnight

CFO NAIA desk is at terminal 1 beside TIEZA travel tax desk which is between the entrance doors with the x-ray / conveyor machines..

CFO counter is next to the travel tax counter in terminal 2, up front of the departure area

CFO sticker at Terminal 3 on the 3rd Floor at the CFO office.

So the interview is scheduled for 7:40AM... any recommendations on what time she should arrive?  Any advantage to showing up earlier?

No advantage really because there is a long line no matter what. So just tell her to get in line on time and NO ELECTRONICS like a cell phone or tablet.

Good job being on the ball about everything.:jest:

Do Not Arrive Early For Your Interview
The embassy posts on their website, along with their facebook page to not arrive more than 15 minutes early
for your interview or you may be asked to wait off embassy grounds.
(Interviews are grouped by a range of times, some say they arrive 45 minutes early  & are allowed entry)

Thank you, gentlemen... and sorry, it was a bit of a lazy question.

Update:  passed the medical today (Tuesday, Sept. 26), and they gave her a file and CD to take to Embassy for her interview tomorrow morning, so we were lucky with the gamble to not leave any time between medical and interview, and to schedule interview so soon after NOA2.  The only potential problems I can see our a few gaps in her work history on the DS-160 (didn't have a few addresses and phone numbers of old employers overseas, and the system kind of froze and didn't let us add one additional overseas employer from about 10 years ago) and an informal religious service we had with her parents and pastor in her home to bless our engagement and future marriage and life together (I only know now this could be a problem).

Fingers crossed.

Sorry folks, dumb question...

Regarding medical prior to the interview....

The Philippines agency assisting us says that the hospital in Manila where the medical is performed (St Lukes) won't schedule an appointment or allow you to do the medical without the letter or email from NVC, which we haven't received yet. All I have is the "Ready" notification on the NVC status tracker. I keep hearing here that they'll only need the case #/MNL # (which I have..), but the agency says otherwise.

Who's right? And where/when will we get the letter from NVC? My "Ready" was as of yesterday, based on the online CEAC tracker status.
