Hey guys,

My wife's interview is on October 24th 2017 in Guangzhou. I'm wondering which way is faster to get her passport&visa back? the premium delivery or Pick up at a CITIC bank?

we are planning to go to US on November 5th, which is 8 business days after interview.

Can anyone shed a light on this ??    assume that we will not have AP, will we be able to leave on Nov 5th?? Which way is faster? and is there any expedite service for this?

( We live in Qingdao, Shandong )

It is highly recommended by EVERYONE including USCIS and NVC that no tickets should be booked until the visa is in hand.....Too many things can go wrong.....such as AP, mistakes on the visa, etc.........

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

My Fiancé was approved on 24 Aug at Guangzhou (no issue and no 221g).  Then on 30 Aug we received a 221G by email (the consulate had lost her divorce papers).

We sent papers and on 11 Sep the CEAC site changed to issued.  On 12 Sept received another email that said her Profile on the ustraveldoc site had an error that needed to be corrected before they could issue the Visa.

19 Sept ustraveldoc (Citic back) site said her passport had been received from the consulate and was being processed for delivery.

Today (22 Sept) the Citic back told my fiancé she should have her passport w/visa on Monday (25 Sept).  I know (or hope) this is not the norm.  I would not recommend making in plans that cannot easily be changed.

For us this has been stressful, but, not a big deal; only because we decided early on not to try to rush her departure after she received her visa.

I fly to China the first week of Oct and we return to the U.S. together on the 26th.
