Hello I have 2 questions to you:

We have sent our 1-751 to Vermont Service Center on March 26th

They received petition on 27th.

We received blue receipt for payment and petition on April 12th.

Questions:

What is next letter do we receive?

Where is our Biometrics schedule letter?

12th April to 20th = 8 days we are waiting for

Biometrics letter. If you are in Vermont SC

There was more wait for you?

We appreciate your help.

Thank you so much.

Regards,

Rafi

I went through vermont in the fall, and yes, the biometrice letter came later by itself. The NOA took me nealy 2 months to receive, and was close to 3 weeks, maybe a month, before I got the biometrics appt letter, with the appt scheduled for about 2 weeks later. Some people get the NOSA and Biometrics in the same letter I belive, or shortly after, but not all!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

We too submitted our I-751 to Vermont around the same time (Sent March 24, 2007 and received by the service center on March 26, 2007). As of today, we have only received the blue receipt of payment (received the week of April 9). We are waiting for the Biometrics appointment to arrive for us as well.

I guess all we can do is wait. Filling out and submitting the paperwork is the easy part. It's the waiting that can get you down sometimes. At least we are waiting TOGETHER as a family.

Let's keep each other posted of our progress to see how soon this process is completed.

Rdevivar,

When did you send in your I-751?

We sent in the I-751 on March 24, it arrived on March 26. We recieved the blue note the week of April 19, and the extension letter was received on April 20.

I went to the mailbox today and we have received the biometrics appointment. We live just outside Washington DC, but are scheduled at the USCIS office in Baltimore, MD.

I hope you all receive your notices and appointment letters soon as well.

My wife went for her biometrics appt today in Baltimore, MD. We arrived around 8:55 A.M. and were leaving the office around 9:20 A.M.

Fighting the Baltimore/Washington DC area rush hour traffic to get to this appointment on time was easy compared to the hard part that follows: WAITING!!!

Good luck to all of you in your journey!
