Maybe a total of $120 USD. There is a lot of running around Casa. dont forget to ask for a copy of the vaccination supplement.

the whole thing with getting to casa and back and everything else was about $500, but they have it on the site somewhere. you have to pay for the interview too, you know. so, if you add all that up... but then i guess it depends on how far your fiance is from casa.

Met online - May 2004

I think in all for the doctor, the lab, the x-rays and the vaccination medicine from the pharmacy - we paid in all around 150 USD. The doctor herself, is a real good woman and speaks english too. But, yes there is a lot of running around to do, so there are the additional taxi fees as well. We had train fees too which I did not include in the medical expenses. The lab place likes to cause a few problems here and there, but he x-ray place is very nice - a lot of waiting at both places. The receptionist at the doctor's office even loaned us money because we did not bring enough with us and then we just had the money wired to us by family to pay her back. Hope this helps on some info on this subject and this doctor. Not sure if she is more expensive, but I think she is worth it if she is - we could not get ahold of the other two doctors.

Pay for the interview???? Who told you that? Where was he traveling from that cost that much? Wow!!!

I have a complaint about her. We ended up doing 3 exams. She claims she didn't keep records, so he had to pay again for his third interview. The cost each time was about $120 to $130. Lets face it...these doctors just want the money. Oh well....he is here now so I don't care anymore.

I think she meant when you have the interview you have to pay for the visa ahead of time.

The medical in part is to check for issues like TB and AIDS, things like that. Anything that can cause harm to other people. Is it true that certain illnesses would result in a denial of visa?

If I cause offense it is not on purpose, think about that before you take offense. If you feel offended, consider that maybe I'm not talking about you and maybe I accidentally stumbled onto a sore area and do not know. Thank you.

what they are looking in the medical exam , what's the point from that exam

Visas can be denied on medical grounds. Certain conditions merit a denial and a few of these can be overcome by filing a waiver.

Mostly yes. Things like HIV, TB, but they will also test/question about drug use and mental health as well.
