Suspected positive TB

My friends is USC, he petitioned for parents. 

 

Interview is oct 6 2017, they went to medical sept 17, 2017.

 

Father is suspected of TB. 

 

does St lukes have authority to reschedule visa interview because of suspicion of TB?

He will have to finish his treatment in the home country, and will receive his visa if he is TB cleared.

So, st lukes does have authority to re schedule visa interview. 

 

I thought, they still go to the interview like normal and get approved for visa but needs to clear TB testing before FLYING to us.

 

Visa will not be approved until TB suspicion is cleared,  is this correct?

Dang right they do!!!  TB is contagious and it KILLS. Let the system and process work without intervention. He will be cured (his life saved) and they will have him with them shortly after the medical process is completed.

It just never seem like it's anything important since my siblings were also suspected of TB but turns out it was negative.

It is important but one doesn't know till one goes through the Medical procedure for TB detection. I hope he dosen't have the disease but if he does I am sure all concerned will appreciate that he can be cured.

Yes SLEC can reschedule an interview, it was standard practice for years, then they stopped doing it so much.   As of late I have heard they are doing it again, but not always.

 

Personally, make sure the current interview date is cancelled, then once clear of the TB issue if SLEC states they will reschedule that is fine.  It may be be good to follow up on that just the same.

So, if it was rescheduled, who do they ask to verify the new interview date and cancel the old one? 

 

I could have sworn that SLEC didn't re schedule our interview when my siblings were suspected of TB but thats been 9 years ago, i really can't be 100% sure.

9 years ago, I bet SLEC did cancel and reschedule the interview.
