I just got emails yesterday that I-130 that I had filed for my parents have been approved. Can someone please share your experience on this. I would like to know how long it can take from NVC to Consulate, and what is general waiting time for interview. Also, do they have to face that AP/AR after their interview. Their Consualte is Islamabad, Pakistan.

09/22/06 - NOA1

12/27/06 - I-129F approved online!

01/02/07 - received NOA2 in mail

NVC:

01/04/07 - Letetr from NVC about the case# and sending electronically to Islamabad

Islamabad Embassy:

01/11/07 - Embassy sends out Packet 3.5/4.0 with the interview scheduled on Feb 06, 2007

2/06/07- Interview

APPROVED BUT ON AR/AP

05/14/2007 Called DOS, they said security check has been completed and an electronic message has been sent to consulate.

05/21/07- My wife has been asked to come to Emabssy and submit I-134 and tax return that embassy can do the final processing.

05/24/07- VISA FINALLY IN HAND, GETTING READY FOR FLY

06-03-07 Arrived to USA, POE JFK

EAD

6/5/07 Application for EAD

6/14/07 NOA1

7/3/07 Biometrics

AOS

7/21/07 packet sent

7/23/07 Packet received

08/22/07 Biometrics

Congratulations Ali!

Once your cases is approved and finishes at the NVC the case is automatically sent first electronically to the consulate. Then the NVC sends all it's diplomatic pouches out within a day or few days of approval to Islamabad. If they mail it the first of the week it is usually at the consulate within 4-6 business days. If they mail on Friday it sits until late Sunday at a processing center and then it travels to it's final destination again with 4-6 days.

Once the pouch makes it to Islamabad they have to match the electronic copy with the hard copy and then it shows it has arrived and is in the system for further processing.

AR/AP is for ALL APPLICANTS and no one can say if the name checks will come back in a few days or if they have to do further investigations. Also, now ladies are getting AR/AP more commonly from Islamabad. Good luck on the remainder of the journey.

3/05/10 - mailed I-751 packet

3/12/10 - arrived at CSC

3/16/10 - online status, NOA mailed but no mail received

3/18/10 - Check cashed

4/15/10 - biometric appointment (notice recv'd in mail - 4/01/10)

4/16/10 - touched

4/18/10 - I-485 & EAD touched????

5/03/10 - Card production ordered

5/11/10 - letter of Approval received in the mail

5/26/10 - email received "letter of Approval" sent in the mail... not yet received till now 6/8/10

7/07/10 - called USCIS why green card has not received yet

7/09/10 - email from USCIS stating that they already sent the GC on May 25th and undeliverable,

adviced to apply for I-90 as it might have been lost in mail

7/25/10 - mailed application for I-90 (replacement of lost or stolen card)

9/16/10 - biometric appointment

9/20/10 - touched

9/21/10 - touched
