Can a co-sponsor cancel their petition for support after a 2 year conditional visa has been issued?

Stay positive don't focus on the negative ????

No. The contract cannot be rescinded and remains in place until one of the following happens:

- the immigrant becomes a USC (usually the quickest option)

- the immigrant completes 40 quarters of work

- the immigrant abandons his permanent residency and leaves the USA for good

- the immigrant dies

- the joint sponsor dies

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!

If the co-sponsor has been accepted and the GC has been issued, I agree, i don't believe the co-sponsor can rescind the I864 they signed.

Others may have more experience.

Good Luck!
