I-130 processing time

Hello

    My wife who is a citizen of US submitted i-130 for me in January and two weeks later we received a receipt notice with the case number, but since then we haven't heard anything from the USCIS. It's been 8months now.

    Please does anyone know how long it takes to get approval for i-130 form? I really want to know if anything has happened to my file.

Might be anywhere from 12 to 14 months.

OP, current processing times for the I-130 are between 6 and 10 months. The 12 - 14 months quoted previously is for the entire visa process. The I-130 is just the first stage. But it is the longest stage. After this stage it goes at a better pace, you will be pleased to hear.

the only way to get through and make them move ur file is pestering them. We called them every 15 days and asked update (even thou we knew the answer)

Knowing that every process and case is very different, based on country (if high fraud or not), also the processing center sets a big influence on this , depends on the center, for all is know that Nebraska Service Center is one of the slowests, also Texas, Vermont, California and Potomac are a little more faster...

The time between NOA1 and NOA2 vary from case to case, even between cases placed at the same Service Center, depends also of the adjudicator in charge of your case, there are many variables on this! What I recommend is not drive crazy checking your status online every day, start checking it 4-5 months after NOA1 date, and not every day , once at week is fine.

Nebraska is my center, we called the center yesterday and they said we should hear from them on October 18th
