Jen - I would be so tempted to give those noisy neighbors a taste of their own medicine. Around midnight or 1am, I'd pick out one of my most raucous sound clash tapes with the mic men hypin' the crowd and screaming insults at each other in thick patois (not to mention lots of THUMPIN drum and bass,) set the speakers close to the wall and put it on full blast. Some people just have to learn the hard way.

HAPPY FRIDAY - I'M OFFICIALLY DONE FOR THE WEEKEND! I took a 1/2 vacation day its so beautiful here. I'm going to the gym then some errands. On a bad note, my fiance just had a minor fender bender so I'm a little worried about him. He sounds ok on the phone but it sucks :( We don't need any distractions with our interview coming up in just 19 days. InshaAllah he'll be ok.

Jen, I would follow Sarah's advice and call the police that is ridiculous and I'm sorry its happening.

Jax - i'm glad they sorting out your DD issue. I wish I got paid everyweek - I'm twice a month (yuk).

Julianna, I'm clearing my schedule Monday night so be ready to hang. I think I might have to bring some bebsi to stay awake lol.

enjoy all.

salam

Heee! I asked about bebsi yesterday and he seemed really perplexed as to why people could call it bebsi to an English speaker LOL! I told him it's because he is ####### retentive.

None of my posts have ever been helpful. Be forewarned.

Alrighty then... Friday afternoon and I have 1 1/2 hours left to go. The only thing keeping my eyes open at this point are the fighter jets performing maneuvers over the river which is right next to the building I work in. They are practicing for the air show tomorrow for Thunder Over Louisville. Yep. It's Kentucky Derby Festival time. This city will be hopping the next 2 weeks. I, unfortunately, am not hopping. I want to SLEEP. I'm a slug. My darling vacuumed yesterday and did the dishes so I don't have to fret over those things tonight. YIPPEE! He's just too cool. He does it without me asking or saying anything. So I guess there is a slight up-side to the EAD approval taking so long. He has his night out with his group of Arab, Persian and Indian friends and I plan to be a vegetable tonight. I had all that alone time for almost 1 1/2 years waiting out that stupid visa and dreaded it. Now I absolutely adore my Friday night "my time". Balance is definitely a good thing.

Generally, only those of us in medicine can stomach that kind of talk. I used to work in surgery and spend my lunch breaks talking with co-workers about the cool things I saw. Miss those days.

Omar got a bunch of alterations to do, which will keep him busy tomorrow while I am at an all day seminar. Finally will get to do something on his new machine.

We spent the day running errands, and had lunch at a fish bar near the lake. took some cool photos together. Now to figure out dinner and enjoy the evening together. Tomorrow will be our first full day apart since he arrived. :crying: Funny Jean how the perspective changes with time. You used to dread the alone time, now you cherish it! We are still pretty much joined at the hip, but I'm sure that will decrease a little bit with time. What about others of you that have your SOs here now? Do you like to be together a lot or have you gotten the togetherness out of your system and now prefer some ME time?

Maggie
