Thanks @Hank_!

Hmm, so how can they get a new visa? They're actually planning to go back again to the US once they've finished all the things they need to finish in the Philippines.

TIA :)

New visa????????????    What do you need that for?

Your wife has her GREEN CARD (that stamp is good for ONE year), making her a Legal Permanent Resident of the USA, she can enter without issue.    Don't need no stinkin' visa....  ;)

Yes we did pay for the green card online but we haven't received the actual one yet.

You can track the status of the green card HERE    https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

I thought they need a new visa plus the temporary stamp to re enter the US because the visa is only for 1 entry right? They just want to make sure that they can come back to the US after they went to the Philippines.

Btw, I don't have a wife. I'm actually with my parents. lol.

My apologies, your profile doesn't show visa time, I tend to go "spouse & fiancee" most of the time. sorry.

Yes the visa is a single entry, but upon entry your parents were granted Legal Resident status ... they can come and go at well with their green card.. they are no longer immigrating.

(just don't stay out of the country too long, over 6 mos they start to look closer ;) , and at a year they would need special paperwork)

Hello,

It says on the green card status, it's already mailed to us on Sept. 13, 2017 but we haven't received it until now. Do we have to wait more days or should we have it now?

TIA

13th was last Wednesday ... figured by maybe the 20th the green cards should arrive.

Thankfully it isn't PhilPost.. or it would be months... ;)  (or never)

Yeah, I know how it feels to wait when you're in the Philippines. lol. Okay then :) We'll just wait until this week :)

Thanks again :) Mabuhay!

Yes you can go back to the Philippines. What you have in your passport is no more a visa (please don't call it a visa, it just confusing), but a temporary green card valid for a year. As for your permanent residence cards, they take some time. For some it takes 1 week, others 2 weeks and some even a month. As long as you have paid all the fees, you will get your card.
