Have been reading about expediating EAD, I understand you have to demonstrate financial loss or urgency. Will offer letter alone be sufficient??!! Has anyone got EAD expediated before?? whoever has done this please help me on what to provide to USCIS.

My EAD is supposed to be issued in early Decemeber, but now I got one of my dream job offer.

God bless all!!

Quick question: Did you apply for this job or it was offered to you?

If you applied for this, why did you apply for it without a working permit on hand?

I tried to have my case expedited for EAD but thankfully, the day they sent me a letter asking for more evidence to support my claim that we are experiencing financial loss is the same day they sent me the approval letter for my EAD.

I heard about people applying for a job while waiting for their EAD and once a job has been offered to them, they call USCIS and request for expediting the case. That is not the way to go to be honest.

Even though I got my EAD approved in July 29, I waited until I have the actual EAD before I started submitting resumes. One of the questions that employers ALWAYS ask to applicants is this: Are you authorized to work here in the United States?

It tells you that companies are very particular with work authorization. You know how big the current administration is when it comes to working and living legally in the US.

Had my EAD not been approved, I would have sent copies of my husband's salary slips and copies of our monthly bills to show that what he is earning is smaller than what we have to pay every month. You can try that.

I wish you the best in your EAD application. I hope it gets approved soon.

Working without ead is disregarded for spouses of USC.

OP - the job offer letter is enough for expedite (but it's not guaranteed) you file under "financial loss". Many have done this. There is also nothing wrong with applying for jobs before you get your EAD - the employer can decide for themselves if you are worth waiting for or not and usually the recruitment process alone takes a while  you can always say "I will be available by so and so" if they accept that,  great, if they don't then you try again later. You can call uscis and request the expedite, they will give you a fax number to fax in supporting evidence - if they don't then ask for it. They will send you a letter asking for the documents too but that takes longer.

Good luck and congrats on the dream offer, I hope it goes well! :D
