N400 estimated completion time

Where did you file your N-400?

Go to the below link, and for the "Field Office" drop down menu, select the city where you had your biometrics done (if you've had them done). That'll give you a more relative timeline of how long it may take...

They are definitely not accurate estimations.  My interview is in less than two weeks, and it's still saying my case won't be completed for another 10 months...

Thank you all for your responses. The estimation is for my case particularly, when I log into my account on egov.uscis.gov. But, anyway, I hope it's wrong.

Don't get too worried or wrapped up in the case estimation time---it's a new function they just introduced a few months ago and it's horribly glitchy.   Many people here (myself included) on VJ have reported that the number of months keeps changing back and forth frequently, too...sometimes changing various times within the same 24 hours.

 

Did you file the N400 online, or by paper application?  Have you done biometrics yet?

Thank you. I filed online, just a few days ago. The biometrics appointment letter is yet to come.

Once you complete the biometrics, you may see that estimated date change as mine did.  Best of luck with your filing---I filed online too.

Thank you. This morning I got an electric notification that the biometrics appointment letter had been mailed. Hope things will go smoothly. Good luck to you too, with the interview.

We just got the same notification!!! I thought a year was pushing it! We his is crazy! No legal issues, American born children, wife is an American citizen from birth and I’ve been in the country as a permanent resident since the 90s.

I filed my N400 on October 2017 and my status still in-line for interview. It's been over 12 months now. The filed office is in Phoenix, AZ. You response is highly appreciated.
