It's terrible. Basically unusable on my iPhone or my Android.

Fine on the computer.

Going to try this, one step at a time.

 

I just blocked one of our ad networks from all ads on "topics" pages (not others).  I'll leave this true for the next 24hours and then unblock them and block the next (one at a time).  Please reply back and tell me if the pop-ups continue... or not.

Seems to have done it for the on topic forums. Immediately got a pop-up on this one.

I'm not sure I follows and I really need a large number of folks to chime in...  All topics (this one included) should be the same.

 

Do folks still see popups in the forum view (this view)?

No popups, but still ads inserted within the text of posts.

What was the pop up looking like? Could you close it? Top or bottom on screen?

 

Were you in the forums view?  I didn't remove stuff from that.

Full screen - the four virus one. Have to close the screen completely - had another immediately after & not tried since until now

Edit to add - sorry but can't remember where I was but it's quite possible it was forum view, I often get them just as I'm closing out

Ok I just came on to the site and immediately got a pop up - still on forum view

I've been getting them fairly regularly as well - Android 8.1 and the latest Chrome (Beta)...  A full page ad that allows me to close it happens regularly, and is not an "issue", but quite regularly will also get a redirect to a "your xyz phone has a virus" type popup, which leads to another different one, and so on until I close the tab out.

 

Don't recall at all what the URLs are, but will keep it in mind the next time I see one...

Yep. Pop up saying you won some gift card that takes you to a phony amazon site. Need to pick your advertisers better. I’d gladly donate to get rid of ads overall.

I’m still having the problem, Safari and Chrome on iOS devices. Haven’t had it on Windows. Lots of info out there on how to get rid of it, nothing has worked so far. 

From what I have read, it’s the website that is compromised.

Not the website, but instead it's downstream ad suppliers that aggregagte up in the ad network. The challenge is that they are on many ad networks. 

 

I'll rotate the network we are blocking to see if it helps.
