my fiance got letter froM NVC that they have send case to US embassy in my country (india) so do I Fill the DS 160 form now or wait till US embassy gives me instructions to do so?????

i'd say wait for the letter...since it reached New Delhi or Mumbai just now...give it two weeks of time and if you haven't received packet 4 mail from the consulate then make a contact on ustraveldocs because I didn't receive any mail for nearly a month after packet 3 New Delhi embassy so i contacted ustraveldocs and they said they have sent it 2 weeks ago and i said it must have got lost in the mail so they sent me the instructions in e-mail. Until you receive your packet 4 you can get police certificates from any other countries you have lived for more than 12 months since the age of 16 or more, also apply for Police Clearance Certificate from Passport website http://passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/online/pccOnlineApp because they need PCC from passport office and not from local police station, get about 4 passport sized photos of 2x2 inches (they will take 2 photos during interview) and start working on DS160...you can fill the online DS160 little by little and login and keep updating it until you finish the form. You don't need to fill in the online form all at once... by the way inbox me, i"ll give you some other info.

FYI, you can complete your DS-160 in advance, submit it immediately and proceed with the visa fee payment. The visa fee payment is valid for a year.

However, you can also complete the DS-160 and save it on the system first, and then submit it and make your fee payment upon the embassy's receipt of your case file.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

Or the third option - complete and submit the DS-160 and do the payment later.

The DS-160 doesn't expire. It's good for as long as the information on it is still accurate.
