Hello guys!

I had a quick question, I never made copies of the forms I filed i485, i130 etc.. will this be a problem for the interview since they should have the forms there?

thanks

I dont think so. I saved copies in my computer when I submitted them but never brought them during my interview.

Awesome. I heard you didn't need them. I just wish I was more organized when we filled the forms out. Thank you for your help!:)

For our I485, they asked us to pull certain pieces of information we had submitted to make sure it was 100% authentic. I am pretty sure it's a requirement to keep a copy, but I could be wrong. We were also separated later on for interviews and while it was stressful at first, we had nothing to worry about - the questions were something anyone who is together would know. After talking more with the officer, they wanted to verify we had actually submitted it since it looked so comprehensive and professionally done.

Also - it's really helpful to keep them, as well. When we filed the N400 and I751, it was super, super helpful to have all the travel dates, moving dates, and employment information all previously written down. As time goes by, it's much harder to remember or find the corresponding documents.

I wish that I made a copy. I was excited to get it sent off + I thought it would save to my computer but the pdf opened blank so I was wrong! I could fill out the forms again just for reference

Oh, no! Technology fail. I would try to fill it out again and keep it. It's been a lifesaver to have for the paperwork we did down the road. Plus you'll have something if asked.

Smart. I know! The forms were very glitchy on our laptop for some reason
