AOS interview cancelled, how long until new interview?

Hi all :) we are waiting on our green card interview. We were scheduled one on the 12th September but got a letter telling is it was cancelled and will be rescheduled. Does anyone know if their is a 'normal' time period in which the new interview gets scheduled? We were just about over due for our green card interview so we were expecting it to be around September time but I really hope we aren't looking at months of further waiting!

Rescheduling interview is usually done at the field office. Were they the one that cancelled the interview and reschedule you? Hope you got a letter from them explaining it. The reason is sometimes communication between the USCIS and the local field office is not that smooth and can pose a bigger problem for you. I am speaking from current experience. Somehow they didn't send me a letter for interview and magically field office said I didn't show for interview.....I have been on trying to reschedule interview since March, 6 2017.

Oh wow, that is so so unfair!! They have to give you a new date!! 

 

We are hoping the fact we didn't show up to our interview after they cancelled it won't affect us... 

 

Hopefully we get news soon! We are checking daily! Good luck with your situation!

I don't think they care if they are fair or not. Wish you luck....
