I wasn't there for the interview - wife said it was roughly 10-15min once they started. The Western CO spoke to her both in English/Vietnamese.

Good luck!!! Enjoy the craziness that defines the U.S. Consulate in Saigon. Don't talk to anyone outside the consulate - there's a lot of scammers. Take your invite letter and go straight to the guards standing outside the consulate building. Get there by 7 a.m. and go in as soon as they let you. Again, do not talk to anyone other than the consulate guards. I've spent a lot of time in Saigon, and I swear the best/worst scammers are at the consulate. Inside, go with the flow. Have a seat and enjoy the show. It's crazy. Watch the number board - there is no order, just random (it seems). When your wife gets called, go to the window with her. That let's them know you are there. They will probably make you sit down. And they'll call you if they need you. Be confident. It's a CR-1, so you'll be fine. Have fun and good luck!!!  Wish we were there! I love Vietnam!  :)

Yes. We were told that nobody gets in before 7:30 a.m. We got there a little after 7 a.m. and people were already inside. Get there early.

Not sure about your embassy but Manila Embassy would not hold anything for you.  No phone or electronic devices of any kind, not even thumb drives or sd cards.  Don't bring anything with you that you don't need.  A brief case with documents is allowed but they tend to be very wary about other items.  And by all means DO NOT trust anyone outside to "hold the items" for you as you will likely see that person again.  Beware, most hanging outside the embassy are scammers.  Take no chances, trust no one.  Good luck and God Bless.  david

OMG, "that early"?  Hahaha, Manila lines up 3 to 4 hours early.  There are people in line at 4:00 a.m.  We got there about two hours before my wife's interview and there were literally hundreds (no exaggeration, hundreds) of people waiting in line already.  God Speed

Totally true. lol Its a 1st come 1st serve manner even though the instruction said not to come too early. I was surprised of such a long line when I got there :)

@Seth And Quynh Good luck~~ Hope to hear a great news coming from you guys.
