I I don't have nvc case

So we don't have the NVC case number. Our attorney did the application for us online. I asked my attorney if we will receive anything stating they received our application, he said no. But two weeks out when we submitted, our attorney called us asking if we have received anything from NVC. So I'm alittle concerned now. And for some reason we had paid for our ds260 application when we submitted our i160a (Aug 2017)..odd because we didn't submitted the IV application. But it was paid for. The information I was inputting on the website was my MSC receipt#. Now I know I need another number. Thanks for replying with all this information. I will contact my attorney to get the NVC case number.

Yes, I would definitely contact my lawyer as soon as possible. In order for your i601a to be accepted you had to have paid both NVC fees. The AOS fee and the IV fee it’s like $120 and $325. Your lawyer must include the receipts of both payments with your i601a packet or it would not have been accepted. Then later you start working on sending the information.  So he should have that case number by now.  Ask him to double check what email address he used. Everything gets sent to our lawyer but we are CC on all the emails from NVC. Good luck

Thanks for the info.my attorney called me back and provided us with the NVC#. I check and it says it was received on 04/24. At least I know it's there and in process. Thank you very much for the information.

/Haha!  Yeah, I don't plan on driving to Juarez again.  Let's just say the drivers in Juarez don't exactly obey the laws of the road very much.  Turn signals on cars are rarely used and people run red lights on a regular basis.

I'm not sure I understand your question.

For I-601a applicants, you get biometrics done here in the United States.  And you have biometrics done in Mexico before the Consulate interview.  What approval are you asking ?  Her I601a approval or her Visa approval?

My wife's I-601a was approved two months after her biometrics were taken.

Visa was approved the day of interview, three days after her ASC appointment in Juarez.

yes sorry I was asking about the biometric here in the us.

Good morning!

quick question.. I saw someone state that Iv fees were supposed to be paid before we send in our 601a? Is this true ? Could this be y my lawyer is not in a rush because we don’t have our case number at nvc yet. We have absolutely everything needed for 601a just needs signed.

Also anyone know what is needed for the nvc it’s self?

Yes. You must pay the IV and AOS fees with NVC and include those PAID receipts with the 601A. USCIS will reject your packet if you do not include those receipts.

Not yet, but with this new case number with NVC email, there will be a checklist for documents to have to send to NVC. You can either send these while waiting for your 601A OR wait until it is approved. We opted for the latter option. They usually take up to 11 weeks to review these documents, but it takes less than that (usually 4-8 weeks nowadays).

HEllo all !

questions...

1. who is from the Potomac Service Center?

2. Anyone send in their 601a?

3. If so where did it go and about how long will it take?

4. I see on the USCIS site that they r working on 691a’s as of November 29, 2017. Does this go off of priority date?

My lawyers assistant says we have about 5-9 months to go ! I’m hoping it goes by really fast!

Yes on April 26th. My husband was approved.

Congrats! What questions did they ask him? And what documents did they ask for at the actual interview? Thanks for the help! Just getting real nervous, trying to be as prepared as possible.

How did you get the carta of antecedents? I need the police certificate for the USA

We had 4 criminal (police) reports. 1 from Juarez, 1 from my husband's home state in Mexico, 1 from the FBI, and 1 from our US state's police department. The US nor FBI is required. Getting a police certificate is different by each US state. You'll have to get in contact with your state police department to find out their process. For Juarez, we went to the FGE in Juarez 2 days before his interview.
