If can understand and speak English fluently then English. Otherwise, best to just interview in your fluent language with an interpreter.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

They do allow both but mostly they want the person to speak English if he/she is to live in the US

mainly they allow the other language for tourist visas for parents and others who may not need or know  English when visiting family

this was explanaion given to me by immigration worker when my mother in law interviewed for tourist visa

I have no personal experience with this, but what I have read in other posts is that it is best to do the interview in English if you can speak and understand it well.  I have read posts that others have said English interviews are somewhat less grilling and tough than non English ones.  I have also read what the others here have said that they like to see that you can speak English well since you are applying to reside in an English speaking country.
