Vietnamese Visa expiration when traveling

Hi All

 

I have a Vietnamese visa that expires on November 3 , 2017.  I plan on travailing to Vietnam on Oct 5 , 2017 to October 19, 2016.  Will the Vietnamese immigration allow me to enter Vietnam with such a short expiration date of Nov 3, 2017?  Do you know if certain airlines will not allow me to board with November 3 , 2016 expiring Vietnam visa?  My U.S. passport is good for another 9 years or so I am OK with the passport but my concern is the Vietnamese visa expiring on November 3 only few weeks before my trip.

Is your visa expiring on Nov 3 ,2017 OR Nov 3 2016? 

    Well, as long as you enter Vietnam before your visa expires then that is fine. But if your visa is already expired then if i am not mistaken there is visa on arrival of USC or you can check online how to do it. 

 

I believe you plan to travel Oct 5 2017 - Oct 19 2017 and NOT 2016?

09/14/2017: Emailed US Embassy to cancel our interview and postpone as wife is pregnant. USEM mentioned to contact them 3 weeks prior to intended date of appointment.

Yes.  Sorry for the typo.  

 

My Vietnam visa expires on November 3, 2017.

You're good to go. Visa is good up to and including expiration date (local time/date). The only dates I worry about is when my U.S. passport is falling into the last six months of validity. Visas are good throughout the period for which they are issued. Have a safe trip!
