Congress Overwhelmingly Approves Resolution Condemning White Nationalists

So back in 2009 when Nidal Hasan shot and killed 13 people, and attempted to murder 32 others, it was labeled "workplace violence", not terrorism.  At least we have made SOME progress since then!

I'm curious as to the definition of a "strong Trump supporter"...

 

Is this someone who voted for Trump, but now works out daily?

 

Or is it a jock strap made from duffel bag material worn by our president?

Surely the majority of US citizens are nationalists regardless of skin colour. How come when white is put in front of it does one automatically become a nazi or racist? 

 

There should be no shame in someone being white and saying they are nationalist, the words should be taken back from the scum who have claimed them. I have to admit to being confused and somewhat concerned as to how I will fit in when I eventually move to the US. There seems to be a lot of shaming on white people, mostly perpetrated by those on the left. My sister in law says there are groups from the left who threaten openly Trump supporters on campus in Wilmington. 

 

The bastion of free speech is becoming a joke where free speech is only permitted if those in black permit it. If not they will trash the place and beat up on some police officers. Ben Shapiro talks tomorrow at Berkeley and they are already providing counciling for those who feel threatened or their safety is at risk if he speaks. Snowflakes get a night out on the town tomorrow. 

 

Antifa is a bigger threat to American values than the joke that is the KKK.

  I can't speak to anyone else's "America values", but my grandfather lost his youth, his faith, and many of his friends fighting the nazi's. It's not about free speech to me. People can say what they want, I can ignore it, but someone thinks they can wave a swastika in my face in this country, well sorry, they are going to be eating it. It's an insult to all those who fought and those who died fighting fascism to preserve our values.

I disagree.  Of course Antifa apologists make this claim, but they have a much broader political agenda which seems to primarily be to divide the people of this country into some derogatory demographic.  The supremacists and neo-Nazis have been around for some time in very small and marginalized numbers and more than likely they and those that are that extreme will always be around.  Antifa in its current form is fairly new and may be a Soros funded anti-government organization and quite honestly seems more intent on promoting their fascist mentality and brand of Democratic Socialism.

    They are not small on number or marginalized unless you choose to ignore or overlook them. Curious how until we started seeing sieg heils and swastika's at alt right rallies, nobody had even heard of Antifa.

I think people started hearing about antifa when they started to increase their violent rhetoric and acts.

 

By the way, I will ask you where is your proof that the extreme right groups are large in numbers?  Are you suggesting that all the folks that voted for Trump are closeted extremists?

   Nobody is being labelled a white nationalist for flying an American flag. I have to wonder who the real snowflakes are, the imaginary grievances people come up with sometimes.

 

   Anyone who identifies with nazi ideology is a bigger threat to my values than Antifa is.

    No I am not suggesting that. I already answered that earlier. 

 

   I do see a certain amount of cognitive dissonance on display though, in the tendency to minimize or look past how prevalent the alt right is and what they stand for. While they may be a small percentage, they are a larger and more organized group than some people want to admit. I'm tired of seeing these comments that it's just a few hundred people.

Nationalism is a broad group of political  beliefs. We are addressing white nationalist views. Look at what Richard Spencer is proposing : restricting any immigration from non European countries, government promotion of White ecomomuc Opportunities, removing non Christian, European views of history from our education system, extreme isolationism in foreign policy and trade.
