In case you may not know, tomorrow, Friday April 20th has been designated a National Day of Mourning for all the victims of the Virginia Tech massacre.

It has been requested that you wear the VT colours of maroon and orange if possible,

I didn't have anything with their emblem nor the colors so I went searching online and came up with the next best thing -

If you like, you can always print out the photo I have attached below and cut out the ribbon and emblem and pin it on. Print out a few and pass them on if you like. We do not need a special day to mourn the victims of this tragedy, they will never be forgotten. This is just a day in their honor.

Rappahannock County (where I live) lost one of its very own on Monday at VT as well...

Emily Hirscher was only 19 years old and aspired to one day be a veterinarian. Her hopes were squashed along with her classmates'. And her family's hearts were broken. :(

Please wear the VT colours or one of these ribbons in their honor.

May each of them rest in peace and their families be spared further sorrow. (L)

I am just overcome with grief at this very moment from reading their profiles.

I don't have tv, haven't for years. Sept.11th drained me from watching this kinda stuff over and over.

So I have been very detatched. Reading a bit here and there and reading what everyone here is saying.

All day today I have read articals and theories and profiles...and I am just over come right now.

These poor families that lost their babies. Their brothers and sisters...there moms and dads.

May rest in peace ! My prayers are for all the victims and their families.

One of the people that died was a professor born in Romania. He died like a hero saving his students. We have to learn a lot from all the heroes from 4/16.

07/07/2007 Green Card arrived

07/09/2007 Another 2 Welcome Letters from USCIS...God, they really love me! :D

(exactly on the 90th day mark...applications NOT returned although some scared me into thinking they could have!)

30th july 2007 - N-400 delivered to VSC

11th august 2007 - Delivery Confirmation receipt received

17th september 2007 - Money Order (FINALLY!) cashed

9th november 2007 - NOA! (notification period given 180 days)

21th november 2007 - Biometrics appointment letter

18th december 2007 - Biometrics appointment in Baltimore, MD completed

29th march 2008 - FINALLY received letter with interview date!

8th may 2008 H 8:40 AM - Interview in Baltimore-APPROVED!

8th may 2008 H 3:00 pm (yes same day, crazy!) Oath Ceremony in Baltimore

My thoughts are with everyone effected by this horrible tragedy.

I went to school right down the road, so it hits pretty close to home.

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!
