RFE dilemma

Has anyone experienced receiving an RFE while visiting their fiancé?

I will be in the UK for the next four months, well within the timeframe that we should get our NOA2 or an RFE if required.

I'm very stressed, as I don't know what to do since the mail will be going to my address in the United States, as I am the petitioner.

has anyone experienced the same scenario?

Suggestions?

I'm intrigued to know the answer to this!

It may be worth letting USCIS know?

How long ago was your NOA1?

I experienced similar, though not as long. I was in my fiance's country for a month, in during which we received an RFE. I had one of my family check my mail when I saw on the USCIS case checker that they mailed an RFE. So if you have someone that can do so, that would seem ideal. That way you see when you get the NOA2 or RFE. If you then need to send in information for an RFE, you can send it from the UK via DHL or something. A little pricey to send international mail, but it does the job.

If you want to keep your mail going to your current address, I would suggest signing up for USPS Informed Delivery if it's available in your area:

https://informeddelivery.usps.com/box/pages/intro/start.action

This will give you scanned images of the envelopes that come in your mail each day to your email address.  If you see something come from USCIS, whoever is checking on your place and picking up your mail, could open the envelope with your permission and let you know if it's an RFE or NOA2.  If it is an RFE, then you're going to need to compile the documents that you can from the UK, send it to whoever is checking your mail in the states, and have them return the RFE documents and letter as stated in the instructions.
