I Want To Attend Fiance's Interview In Sydney. Can I Just Show Up?

Hello All,

 

Does one have to notify the Sydney consulate ahead of time if the applicant wants to attend the interview or, can they just show up? If so, would I have to bring anything other than my passport?

Check the VJ's Consulate Portal section.  People describe their interviews and whether they went together or if the other had yo wait outside. 

 

I went with mine in another country, just showed up. It seemed to be preferred.  But check the portal.  Even the Embassy's own website can state the exact opposite.

My now-husband was there during my interview, and all he needed was a passport.  As mentioned above, though, probably smart to check directly with the consulate.

You must have a copy of the email allowing you entrance to the Embassy in order for you to be admitted.
