Okay, my husband has a CR1 and is moving tomorrow and crossing at Peace Bridge POE at Buffalo. I thought with a CR1 that he already has work authorization. However, i am seeing lots of people commenting on getting an EA stamp when they cross. Are those just for K visas or does a CR1 visa holder need one as well?

03/30/2006 sent petition I-130 to VSC

04/13/2006 received NOA1 petition I-130

05/01/2006 "touched"

07/06/2006 "touched"

07/06/2006 received notification that case transferred to Calif. SC

07/07/2006 faxed request to expedite to CSC

07/08/2006 "touched"

07/10/2006 "touched" with notice that CSC has received petition

07/11/2006 "touched"

07/12/2006 "touched" Does this mean we are getting somewhere?

Please see (at minimum) the first link in my signature to learn what your husband's new rights and responsibilities will be, including his work authorization status.

Immigrant visa holders become Permanent Residents when they enter.

The endorsed visa in his passport will be his temporary evidence of his new status.

Permanent Residents are employment authorized as a part of their status.
