Hello its tough for me too, and I am from Ghana too NVC completed mines like July 20th and still no interview date.  I think its taking too long but lets hope for the best and hopefully we will get our dates soon and we can start to plan for the interview itself.

I guess this interview time frame is peculiar to Ghana. I got mine concluded in August, got a mail from NVC on the 8th for my checklist and the interview date on the 11th of the same month with a month notice for second week in September.  I had my interview already, passed with visa issued.

That's great then. Happy for you. Yours didn't take long wow. I wonder why mine is taking so long. Its been like 2 months already since it got to the embassy here. And i have to go through another long wait which i wish could already be over. Hope to get my interview date soon. So u passed your interview and have gotten the visa?

How long it takes to get an interview varies from embassy to embassy. They only hold a certain number of interviews a day and if they don’t have a spot, they can’t schedule you. Ghana is taking a little more times these days. I know it’s hard, but be patient. You’ll get it soon.

In the mean time I highly recommend you begin preparing for the interview. Get your evidence ready. Go over questions with your partner. As you know, this is not an easy embassy and you need to be well prepared for it.

Sol NVC mailed u package 3 & 4? My case is currently at the Ghana embassy. We have not yet receive package 3 & 4. Should we wait for it or start with police report, DS160, etc

I don't get your question, it's actually all in steps, you get updated via emails for the next steps to take. It actually differs with individual cases. Once all your document submission is accurate, you will be informed by NVC and an interview date subsequently given to you to start preparing your civil documents. I hope this works.

Hi Everyone,

Is there anyone going from the Ghana embassy that just got their interview for a CR-1/IR-1?

How far in advance was the interview date? Im trying to figure out a time frame.

I can tell you that my wife's application was approved from the NVC and the interview date is done by order of first come first served as the order they are approved and it takes 11 weeks for that process and then you will get a email for the interview date my wife was approved in July and her interview is next week in November for the interview but make sure all  your documents are up to date and that the passport has a year of eligibility on it before going for the exam and trinity is the best place to go for the exam and passport style photos and make sure the police report is updated not more than 6 months old follow the instructions carefully

Hello guys

I really need help. Our case was last updated October 30th at the ghana embassy, but we have not yet gotten package 3&4 from the embassy and our approval expires Dece 31. Should we wait for package 3&4 or just move on by paying for the visa at GT bank, submitting DS160, medical, police report etc.??? Whats included in package 3&4??

You schedule your own interview date after you pay the fee.

This is not correct for CR1/IR1 visas. The NVC schedules these type of visas. K1 visas are scheduled by the individual.

Actually this feed was started by someone who is filing for a CR1/IR1 visa. That's why I commented to ensure some who reads this in the future doesn't get the wrong impress. This is why they ask that people start new feeds for questions...to avoid confusion such as this situation.
