Activating CR-1 tomorrow

Hi there. My husband crosses with his CR-1 tomorrow and will be bringing a minimal amount of stuff for his immigration into the US. He'll be moving all the rest in a few months.

I've read a little bit about the bridges out of Toronto. Peace Bridge (Ft. Erie) is what I think I've seen as the best POE. Right? Any comments?

Also, does my husband get the customs form for accompanying goods at the bridge when he gets there or is he already supposed to have one?

I told him to make a list of what he's got ahead of time and then he can just transfer it onto the form.

Surely they have all those forms there, right?

04/13/2006 received NOA1 petition I-130

05/01/2006 "touched"

07/06/2006 received notification that case transferred to Calif. SC

07/07/2006 faxed request to expedite to CSC

08/23/2006 US postal service says agent form rec'd at NVC

There's no form for goods that are accompanying him. Just have him make an itemised list with their approximate value and to total it.

I went through the Peace Bridge at Fort Erie. A review of mine is in my signature.

2007-08-28: Welcome notice received!

2007-09-01: Green card received!

Done with USCIS until May 23, 2009!
