My wife got her police certificate in Mexico City today, it was quite far south in Tlalpan.

She said it was very quick and efficient and that uber drivers are actually required to get this too and there were a bunch there.

 

It's really very simple.

 

If yours did not look like this, please also let me know :D

Requested Expedite: 9/20/2017

AOS and IV show as paid: 9/23/2017

DS260 unlocked: 9/23/2017

Partial Expedite Approved at Counselor Level: 9/25/2017 (Must still wait out NVC)

Scan Date: 10/2/2017    Case Complete: 11/15/2017 (6 weeks 2 days!)

Case sent to consulate: 11/20/2017     Received by consulate: 11/21/2017 (11/20 was a holiday in Mexico)

Interview Scheduled: Jan 2nd - I managed to get someones canceled appointment the very same day my case status turned to Ready.

Biometrics: Mexico City Dec 27th Medical: Mexico City Dec 28th

Case says READY but consulate says case is not in system, I jumped the gun and booked an interview but they say its invalid until I receive the letter so I might have to cancel it.

Appointment Letter: Flew to Juarez just to get this, its actually 2 letters you need.

Interview Day: Jan 2nd   Interview Result: APPROVED

Tracking Number Received: Via email notice and website the afternoon of Jan 4th    Visa Delivered: Friday Jan 5th Mexico City

USCIS Notice - Green Card mailed: 3/28/18

I would say it's a digital version of the document since it is actually called "Digital Police Record". It is digitally signed and has a QR code.

Yes you'll see here and in some other threads thats what everyone got, some people got the federal in addition, but you don't need it. just check the requirements for what you need from where you

I have searched multiple times but haven't found any websites that are helpful. I was 10 when I was brought to the U.S. there's nobody in Mexico that can do it for me. Does anybody know if i need to do this? someone said that I only have to submit it if I was 16 or older living in Mexico, which i wasn't.

There is a privately owned service called "tramites Mexico" that can obtain various public documents. My wife needed a "Carta de Antecedentes No Penales" for our NVC submission. Apparently this operator has two offices (one in Mexico in Cancun and a US location in San Antonio TX) They use some type of couriers or something across Mexico and US to obtain and mail your documents to you. It is pretty expensive @ about $300 USD but was far less money than a trip OR surely getting "stuck" on the other side. From what I have read and researched I cannot comment for  sure if you would need one or not based on age at entry to US ? Most of what I have read says age 16 or older. If a ten year old crossed (by whatever method) I don't even know if any records would exist ??

That's all we used for our CR1

DCF Mexico

06/04/2017: Married

06/24/2017: Mailed I-130

06/27/2017: NOA1 (technically a RFE as we were missing beneficiary ID)

07/06/2017: NOA2

07/12/2017: Case assigned by Juarez embassy

07/17/2017: Packet 3 received

08/15/2017: Interview/Approval!

08/22/2017: Visa received via DHL

09/03/2017: POE

09/16/2017: Permanent Resident Card received

 

Total days from NOA1 to approval: 49

Within an hour, uber drivers have to get these all the time, I believe its in the south of the city you have to go to, said it was easy.

Hello, Sorry for reopening this topic but I'm having the same issue trying to obtain a police certificate. My fiance is currently living in Mexico City but she is from Veracruz. Will she need a certificate from both states? It's seems like what they're asking on the federal level (Carta or Certificado de No Antecedentes Penales) in Mexico is proof of the consulate asking for one, like a letter.  The only letter we have is the letter from the consulate that our case is ready to be processed and then a link to see all the required documentation. Do you think that is enough documentation to obtain one? We already have our interview scheduled and I'm worried that we may not have enough time to obtain one. Does anyone have any recent experience with this? We also asked an Uber driver in Mexico City and he said that Mexico is not allowing people to get them anymore.
