My Canadian husband did the medical exam today, on another thread I read where you should not send the medical stuff in until the interview. I so don't want to screw this up. He's set to have Immunizations done tomorrow that are costly and I will cancel them if it's smarter to wait. Help?

He already did the medicals? How long will you have until the interview?

I wouldn't cancel, this only means that his visa will be shortened. They count visa validity 6 months up from the day of the medicals and not from the day the visa is issued. I did mine around a month prior to the interview. You should have some time anyway from the date the medicals are done until the interview. If someone else is required you have time to get it done before the interview and then the embassy needs time to receive your medicals.

We haven't even sent any paperwork at all in to Immigration yet :( So we don't have an interview yet.

Oh then you need to definitely cancel the medicals. But he will need immunisations regardless. They can be done separately, at a different clinic, just don't finalize medicals.

You should have followed the instructions. If he will be having his interview in Canada, here it is https://ca.usembassy.gov/visas/family-immigration/the-medical-examinations/

He already paid the $250 yesterday to the Dr and had blood drawn and the physical. However because he didn't have any record of having immunizations, he has to have them before the Dr will sign the I-693. He won't be having his interview in Canada as he is here in the US with me now.

Maybe you can talk to the doctor and he will allow to finilize the medicals before the interview date without paying the same amount again or do you think you will manage to finish the paperwork within 6 months?

We plan on sending all the paperwork in the 29th of this month.

I spoke to someone at USCIS on the phone and they said since my husband is here legally in the US, that we need to file I130 and my husband files I485 and send them in together....she said I could send the I693, I864 and I130A, along with the I763 and I131 all in together? Should I do all that or just send the I130 and I485 first?

It looks like you you will be doing adjustment of status and unfortunately, I am not familiar with this process. I am sorry. You need to ask in the AOS forum or thread.
