Well, my iPod is 4 months old and today I was at the gym and all of the sudden it stuck in this song, well it isn't playing the song, it just shows the name, 0:00 and it says now playing. Anyone knows what might be wrong? I tried to connect to the computer to see if that goes away and it recharges it, but it doesn't go away. The screen is still with the light and showing now playing. Grrrr. Any help?

Hold the "Menu" (top) and middle button for 30 seconds, it will restart.

If it has a hard drive, it could be going bad. Call Apple, within 6 months they will replace it for free (and they pay shipping). Just call and tell them the serial number.

I know there's hope, but I forget what it is! This happened to me... I think the solution was erasing the iPod and restoring original settings, then reloading all my media back onto it... but don't take my word for it.

Also works to, procedure is slightly different if you have a Mac or PC. Use the iPod updater to do this on a Mac. Sounds more like a bad hard drive to me though. (they tend to last me about 6 months, jumping around at the gym doesn't seem to be good for them)

Yeah, mine does that quite a bit. It's common in iPods and a bit annoying. I do the reset thing that Russ suggested. Works every time. Incidentally, if you don't do the reset it will "fix" itself once the battery runs down.

I'm proud I still have not bought an iPod. I just bought a new flash-based MP3 player after dropping my 3 year old hard drive player. It stopped working immediately. HDD players don't like vibrations - dropping is a nono, but even on some of the older ones even the jolting from jogging can cause songs to skip. The new iPods have fixed that problem by filtering the songs through a flash memory buffer. Still I wouldn't buy another HDD player.

Every iPod has had that buffer, since the first gen. Some other lower quality HDD based players haven't.
